Snapshot troubleshooting question for my Reaktor 6 ensemble

    Dear Reaktorites,

This topic is a belated sequel to an earlier one I posted about using Reaktor to make a voice-stealing ensemble for a DAW. (Anyone interested in that idea can read my original topic about it, linked below, but you don't need to do that to help with the current problem)

    https://www.native-instruments.com/...voice-steal-softsynths-in-logic-pro-x.269440/

I made my ensemble and I got it going in Ableton Live. My only problem is I can't work out why the snapshot recall button (labelled Reset) I made no longer works. All I want to do is use it as an initalise, so the user can manually zero all the parameters while it's on. It definitely worked in an earlier version of the ensemble. I'm just wondering if I've ticked or unticked something important somewhere since then. I've spent a lot of time trying to work it out. I figure maybe someone else will spot it right away.

I've attached the Reaktor 6 ensemble. It doesn't 'do' anything on its own (has to be on a channel in Live, and requires helper ensembles on channels feeding it), but I'm just looking to get the snapshot recall button working.

    Thanks for any help.

had a quick look at your ens and the reset button does reset to snapshot 1,i added another snapshot to the list to check it was changing.I did notice a section of structure Muted with no input connected, labled "This box zeros all 4 voice assignments"
perhaps the Recl out from the snapshot module is meant to be connected here?? just a guess.

Thanks for having a look. Don't worry about the muted thing - it's just a piece I don't need any more.

I verified your experiment (adding a 2nd snapshot, note that cursor moves to it if I set Snapshot module to recall 2 instead of 1). But storing any snapshot seems to make no difference. For instance - I turned off power to the instrument, then on again, to set all counters back to the default state. The panel mostly has zeroes all over it at this point. Then I click 'Store' and put this state in preset 1.

Then I run the ensemble in Live. The counters all start moving around and going up. Then I hit the reset button. None of the counters react at all. All that happens is the 'User resets' counter goes up one. It's as if nothing is stored in the snapshot.

    Two things:
the counter states don't get saved as they are just meters, maybe look into snap value module.
Your reset doesn't store it just recalls snap 1,if you want it to store to next snap number then look at the store input option with your counter sent to the snap number to be saved, just make sure the snap number is set before the store command

I just worked the problem out. The first sentence of the description of snapshots in the manual says: "Snapshots and Presets, which are REAKTOR's sound preset formats, enable you to store and recall the state of your Instrument's Panel controls." -- whereas I had thought they stored the state of the ensemble.

So, hooray for the manual. But on the other hand - are the Reaktor 6 manuals way skimpier than Reaktor 5's? For instance, the description of a Snap Value module in R6 'Building in Primary' is half a page, excluding an example. Really, it's 3 lines. The description of the same module in R5's Modules and Macros reference is about 3.5 pages, excluding an example.
