Snow Leopard & Traktor Pro

I have a newly formatted MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.1. I want to install my Audio 8 DJ and Traktor Pro on my machine but am hesitant because of Snow Leopard.

Is it now "safe" to do so?

It's not officially supported yet but people do have it working. I have my Audio8 working on my SL 32-bit Macbook but NOT on my 64-bit Pro. So...yeah..um...don't boot into 64-bit.

 

Thanks Telly. What's the difference then? NI's "Compatibility" page hasn't been updated in two weeks so I thought I'd check here. I heard the 1.2 update to Traktor Pro would make it work in Snow Leopard... Wouldn't that mean it's officially supported now?

 

The difference is that 64-bit SL is not compatible with the Audio8 driver, it won't even load.

The 1.2 update to T(S)P does indeed work with Snow Leopard but it's not officially supported because NI doesn't say it's supported. Consider it a happy accident that it does work. If something were to go horribly wrong with Traktor and you were running Snow Leopard, even if it's been running for a week straight with no problems, you would get no help till you downgraded to Leopard.

 

I'm in a **** with 3.4 not working on SL - keeps doing the equivalent of a panic on loading some tracks. Maybe I need to upgrade to pro but need assurances.
