So confused. Tractor audio pro / tractor scratch pro2

Here's my story ladis and gentlemen-

I first bough tractor audio pro 2 with the Remix decks. Loved it. I bought 1 kontrol f1 and planned to use trakto via a MIDI Controller. However after being an avid SERATO user for years, I had to have the hands on touch of the brand new cdjnexus's.

I proceeded to purchase the audio scratch pro a10 system. Which supposedly comes with a copy of scratch pro. 1) for the life of me I can not find ANYWHERE where to download the scratch pro software. 2) is there a difference between the audio pro 2 system and the scratch pro 2 system.?.?

It seems as if there is a difference and the time code CDs DO NOT WORK WITH AUDIO PRO 2. Where the heck do I get scratch pro audio 2?

I tried following all directions and the cards that came with the $499 boxed a10 but still no software.


Any advice? I blew a whole night of dj'ing cuz of this. I also emailed NI directly over a week ago and no reply

I cannot understand this.. If you have a production DJ system, you should never completely swap things before testing it thoroughly. To me, it your responsibility to check your system before a gig.

There are two "full" current versions of Traktor: Traktor Pro 2 (TP2) and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 (TSP2 - the version with timecode support).
Essentially, you're looking at the same codebase, the same program. Depending on the serial number you enter in the service center, you will get the demo version (no serial), or Pro, or Scratch Pro. In other words, once you enter a TSP2 serial, this will enable the timecode functionality in the software.

So the key thing is to make the service center use your TSP2 serial.

The "Audio 2" is a 2channel audio interface made by NI.
The "Audio 10" is the 10ch AI and indeed comes with a TSP2 license (if bought new).

Now, if you have CDJnexus, you get HID support. This means, you can hook up the CDJs with USB and use them as controllers for Traktor Pro. In this scenario, you do not need timecode/TSP2.

i didnt mean i blew the night DJ'ing as in no performance. I meant- I blew a night DJ'ing with TRAKTOR. I had to go back to Serato.

I am still EXTREMELY confused on how to get this scratch pro software. am i really this dumb? i put the serial # in that i got with the scratch pro2 A10 and all it lets me do is DL audio pro 2.

I dont claim to be the smartest man on the planet- but i think i am smart enough to find and DL a program. LOL. And i *STILL* have not gotten a reply from any NI reps. (2 emails- both over a week old).

As kallekenkel said, the Traktor versions are the same program and the Scratch features are activated with the Serial Number.

Download the version you have found and then activate it with the serial number from the A10 kit.

 

regarding the ticket: let me know the number and i'll escalate.

 

If you already registered Traktor Pro, you need to start the license manager program again (we're you entered the serial first time), look up the Traktor license there and click upgrade.

Now you can enter the scratch Pro serial you got with your A10.
