    Hey everyone.

    I have been recommended Komplete today by a friend and I have to say after spending well over an hour on the site checking out the software I'm in.. 100% I will be buying!

    I have questions however...

    I use Cubase... Are all the different parts of Komplete compatible and are they rewire or vst? I cant seem to figure this out...

    And Guitar Rig itself... Can I use this INSTEAD of using amps and microphones? I have an allen and heath mixer, firewired to my PC. Can I just load up Guitar Rig, plug a guitar into my mixer, and record straight to Cubase Via Guitar Rig for an authentic sound?

    Sorry for the newb type questions guys.. Just need to know what Komplete can do for me.. Thanks.

    Your first question I don't know at all about ReWire so I can't comment on that, but all partrts in komplete are available as VSTs.

    To try and answer your second question;
    You can do as you describe, this would be running guitar rig standalone (as its own exe so to speak), and route the audio output to cubase somehow.
    However, a much fancier way is to route your mixer input to a track in cubase and then put Guitar rig on this track as a VST effect - this way you can choose to keep the original unchanged sound, and tweak Guitar Rig as much as you like afterwards (and possibly of course eventually record it with the applied effect if you want).

    Dude, noob too! youtube. I seriously, found a whole bunch of explanations there! I got a couple books a friend gave me too that he used when he went to Full Sail, I'll get back to you on that though.
