Iive been making music for some years now and now i want to start dj'ing at least learn how to...im into porgressive/tech house & minimal techno. I own Traktor le vesrion wich came with my AK1 and i've just borrowed some pioneer cdj's 100. I think its a good start (wanto to upgrade to audio8dj adn traktor pro).

The problem is that i dont know too much about dj'ing, when to start mixing the upcoming track and take out the one is playing? stuff like that, i just know a little of beatmatching.

Some tips would be very helpful. thanks

The book (How to DJ Properly) By Frank Broughton & Bill Brewster, is a good starting point & will set you on the right track(so to speak)ha ha ha...
    lots of info & tips.

& For Traktor Pro you got the (Traktor Pro Bible)http://www.traktorbible.com

Have a look for some tutorials on youtube - learning beatmatching is the sort of thing best heard than read. Although 'How to DJ (properly)' is a good book (it has a different name in North America tho').
