Not to be impatient (haha) but really... it's months late, now finally officially announced and the update is up for those who owned v2.5...

So for those of us who have actually been acknowledged by the rebatestatus.com people, the question is:

When will be getting our download links??

Or do we need to wait a few weeks while the iron out the bugs in their download link page?

But seriously. This shouldn't be too hard to sort out... c'mon guys... let's spend a moment or two thinking of it from the customer's point of view... at least a little info...

    Greg,

I'm on the same boat with ya! I hope that we get our email links to FSDJ2.6 soon for us rebate trade in FS2 users. Sometimes when they say "it'll be here in just a few weeks" can actually seem like a few months but it's all to the good that much time is carefully used to iron out all of the wrinkles.....I'm just glad that I finally got my $200 check.....oh yeah, and also glad they released the 2.0.2 update...Keep it up NI!

Didn't get anything yet. I'm just going to be patient.

I'll try 2.02 when I get home and see if it fixes my problems.

    Got my email...

gonna download now and give it a test run...

they begin the email with "Dear Valued Final Scratch User"

hard to tell if there was a hint of sarcasm or just a lack of sincerity in that...

    ok i'm confused..

i got my serial# for tdjs 2.6 with the email...

i downloaded the 2.6 registration tool for FS rebate users..

i used the registration tool , entered in my serial and then added the traktor studio 2.6 registration to my list of registrations..

in the "whats this" link for the registration tool, it says once i've done all of the above, I should be able to go into the traktor dj updates and download traktor studio 2.6.1.

for some reason, its not recognizing me as a valid user with the ability to download the update.. it tells me "in order to download register the respective product"...

    https://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?traktor2updates_us

I HAVE registered.. why isn't it allowing me to download??

I'm logged in and everything using the email address I used earlier with the registration for 2.6 added to my list of registrations..

is there a gliche in the native instruments web application?

    Same problem...

OK So this is starting to get stupid...

What the hell are the NI people doing? 3 days to send out the email and they can't even get the download system working properly??

You've got to be kidding me...

    Hobbes, any thoughts..? advice?

Definitely not feeling like a "valued customer"..

The Problem appears to be a session cookie issue. Close ALL your browser Windows and then reopen and connect to the site and the problem should be solved. I sent Email to the Registration guys letting them know

Let me know if you continue to have problems and I will push it up the chain as quickly as I can.

yep.. right before i got mine working.. i called stanton support who then got in touch with native instruments for me..

the native instruments support rep called me about 2 mins ago only to find out that i had already got my download :)

he said they noticed the issue and were getting hammered with support calls.. the problem is now fixed and any users going forward shouldn't have a problem.

so much for native instruments support being crap eh?? i would consider this outstanding support.

    NO LOVE!!!

I'm Hating my customer experience here.

I sent all my crap in (rather than Ebaying it) in January... only to have the waiting periode extended a month...

    now it's out...

I don't have an email... I don't have a check... My crippled DEMO version I DLed frustrates me by shutting down every 2hours and not remembering my settings, and I'm feeling very unloved.

rebates.com has some crap about not getting my scratch amp and to expect a letter from stanton... but no letter, no link, no cheque... no love. (my amp was in the same envelope as the application... how they got one and not the other is beyond me).

Should have just sold the thing on ebay and bought the software myself, I'd have had money left over!

thanks for the tip... now i seem to be able to download things from the traktor update page...

my only question is what should I be installing?

i don't want to screw this up and get stuck trying to undo/unistall things...

it seems like the 2.6 upgrade is big enough it could be a full install but i'm not sure... and it does CLEARLY say it's an update for users with 2.5...

    anyone have any info?

Once again NI completely leaving their users out in the cold...

Greg there are a load of Demo Tracks in the install along with the manual so it totals 148 MB or so for the full install of 2.6. If you are worried about screwing things up, you can use either Drive Image Pro or Ghost 2003 if you have them to backup your entire C: Partition or the Equivalent on a Mac, right before you install. It what I used during testing and it it works well for just this purpose!

    Phil...

not sure where this 148 mb file is on the NI site...

however i bit the bullet and tried the "2.5 to 2.61 update for Mac" and running that seemed to install a full version of Traktor on my pbook. Is there another larger file somewhere? (i don't think mine came with demo songs, though i if that's all i'm missing i'm not too worried..)

been playing with it for the last hour and seems pretty good i have to say. seems as well like the sound coming out of it is better quality than the last version of FS... is this possible?

still found some buggy things, especially when using it's own mixer (not external mixer mode) along with my UC33 Midi controller. Could be all sorts of things causing some of the problems but the tracks playing and skipping from place to place when the needle isn't on the record seems like a bona fide bug to me. especially as i have the top of the line pbook and the processor bar wasn't even at 50%.

still overall first impression is that it's usable and good.though i think i'll probably hold out on using any of the whiz bang features in a live setting until a few months of home testing pass by. like most NI products it sounds and works well with the occasional infuriating bugs that are sure to go unfixed for a while (and often time unacknowledged even by NI). However with NI it seems if you're ready to be satisfied with only 75% of what they promise, you're usually ok...

I sent my Final Scratch Amp back on the 29th Jan 05
How do I check my status at http://www.submissionstatus.com ? Where do I find the Submission ID? I havn't had an email from them yet.

Also how much is the rebate in GBP £''s ? I need to tell them how much and what's the department number when I contact support? Or is it just €170? I don't mind waiting longer for the rebate. It's the link to download the software I really want.

It Also says on the Stanton Website
Quote:A download link and authorization code will be e-mailed to you when Traktor Studio 2.6 is released

It has been released and I have had no such email.

Also it was said that Final Scratch 2.0 didn't work with CD decks. Has the problem been fixed yet? Because I'm thinking of getting some CD decks soon.

I'm now looking into that Hercules USB thing to mix MP3s.

You should get your email soon.

I would forewarn everyone to read the instructions carefully when you see them. I got that registration tool, but did not see a download for a full version of Tracktor DJ Studio 2.6. I found out I was supposed to download the UPDATE from 2.5 to 2.6...and I did. It was a full version.

Works beautifully. I did a trance mix for my show, DJ Culture. I'll post it in the mixes section in a lil bit.
