Solo Akoustik Piano and compression?

    I'm preparing some solo piano pieces with Akoustik Piano.

    Are the samples already compressed, or do they need some compressing on the final stages.

    To me, they seem fine.

    I'm new to all this mastering stuff!

    Mastering is completely a matter of taste. Most people would probably want to master their final mix just to fully balance the way it has been played and get an optimum listening level.
