Hey, i have a problem to solve here and i am really interested in new ideas or angles about how to solve this.

I am currently going for a solo perfomer setup. My songs are pretty much vocals & guitar + some beats, synths and stuff. That obviously works out pretty well while recording.

I now start to rearrange my maschine stuff so i am able to step through scenes using a midi foot controller while singing and playing. That actually works quite well when you get used to it.

What i would really love to do now: record some loops on the fly that are somehow in sync with a running scene.

Two Ideas i have right now:

    - Getting a Line6 DL4 or similar Loop Pedal and just practise to get the timing straight (if that´s ever possible to a running precise playback) or somehow sync that pedal (if it exists) with midi

    - Somehow do it in ableton while running maschine as an instance in ableton (i have never really used ableton, i am more of a pro tools guy)

These are two options i think about right now, because i am pretty sure i can´t do it with the maschine. If i am wrong here, please correct me.

Would be cool to hear some other suggestions about how to pull this off. Or just share your experiences with me.

    i haven't tried it.

i would say that An old Music Tech special on Ableton Live had a good article about live looping and had an Ableton Live song saved to do this on the DVD.

having said that, have you tried doing the Maschine example that you quote from?

another user reported that the loop does not start immediately after recording it, it waits for the next trigger before playing back :(

Yeah, i experienced the same thing here. If maschine could pull this off it would be dream come true.

Does anyone here has an idea if theres a looping pedal which i could get in sync with maschine?

I am having some success with a Boss RC-50. It only works as the master so it is not a perfect solution.
