solution for sounds cutting off going into the next scene?

    i'm still in 1.6.2.

From what i understood they STILL haven't fixed this and i'm going crazy, i can't seem to find a workaround. Dragging and dropping the audio doesn't work, it bounces it with the same cutoff. Same when exporting WITH loop optimization on...

The only solution i can think of is making it 1 long ass scene, which would be ridiculous and very unhandy.

Any new tricks? or am i have to going to add a few bars to the end of each pattern, bounce them, import them into a DAW and cut and paste it?

    sigh...

Had this same problem and it used to drive me nuts. Do a drag and drop, but extend ur scene by 1 or 2 bars before u render the audio. That should fix it.

"The handling of note lengths during pattern changes is generally a tricky thing. Most users seem to prefer our current implementation, but that said we are looking into ways to make it more flexible in future versions. In some cases, using one-shot or AHD envelopes instead of ADSR might work better for what you want to achieve."

As sbproductions said, make it 1 or more bars longer before you bounce/export. Then play it back using a one-shot or AHD envelope.

Btw there is no need to drag & drop. Just klick on the arrow button/image once and you will find the exported file in the recordings folder under your project folder. This allows a way faster workflow.

I export audio without "loop optimize" and i always have the sound tails.

it has never been a problem.

perhaps they should have a "combine scenes" function. that would be handy for these kinds of problems.

Maybe this will solve the problem. I will try this later

Solution for this problem is -
    1. add any sound to a blank pad, assign it to an empty choke group lets say (choke group 1) - make sure the sound is small like a hi hat.

1a. if you don't want it to be heard in your mix, turn the volume all the way down on the Hi Hat.

    2. go to the sample your trying to cut off and assign it to the same choke group (1)

    3. place the sound (HH) at the beginning of the scene you wish your sample to stop at... this should stop it from playing in the next scene.

so basically your choking the sound before it enters the scene with another sound, giving you the illusion that the sound has stopped...

wait for it... you misunderstood the problem here. they want the sound to keep playing not cut off with a scene change.

i asked for this to be fixed, but NI does not want to do this because of "design"-reasons, this is meant to be as it is.
Best would be to have a switch to have the option to chose whether it should cut off or not.

tell you what? i wasnt telling you anything. i made a remark to your suggestion that a switch be installed to show the irony that nobody would want one. get it?

I get the feeling that EpikureeR is talking about a different issue. The old one about sounds cutting off (or not) when Scenes are changed.

a simple solution to this would be if NI gave us some audio tracks to work with, i know it sounds like a daw, but instead of having just scenes maybe we should have an option of selected group as audio tracks that run through the whole track, giving you the ability to place sounds throughout the complete project... but then again i guess thats what the DAWS are for...

I realise some may want DAW-style linear audio tracks but, frankly, I don't. :p
I don't see that that is what Maschine is at all and I feel as though it would change it far too much and perhaps even take something away from what it is. Also, think of how the controller/software combination would work... I don't think it's really geared for that.
But NI will do what they feel is right and best. So be it.

His "this", as you probably already know really, was just to indicate that my suspicions were correct and that, just like Phyia earlier in the thread (that you yourself pulled up!), he had gotten the wrong end of the stick with regards to what the thread was about.
