    Bring back the database, please....

i use 3rd party stuff such as 8dio, soundiron, sonokinetic, projectsam, ethno world and so on.
Although there are the library tabs for some libraries, how will you find percussions and other stuff without any database ?
Searching music instruments for various music style compositions is my daily business for years as far as i compose for clients needs.

How will a composer remark the instrument locations for more than 450GB of external 3rd Party Kontakt Instruments, ?
What if you search instruments for stacking from further libraries? Or try to search alternatives for single instruments to fit your orchestrations ?

By the way: i have more than 250.000 sound effects for audio postproduction.
What if i would have no database management for them (i use basehead) ?

Database search is an absolute essential function for every library - sfx or musical instruments.
    Come on, NI !...

Did you ever watch the credit list for 8 Dio Libraries ?

    https://8dio.com/vanity/composers-and-producers/

    https://8dio.com/vanity/movies/

    https://8dio.com/vanity/8dio-top-40-vanity-all-from-justin-bieber-to-daftpunk/

    https://8dio.com/vanity/tv-shows/

    https://8dio.com/vanity/video-games/

    That is 8Dio, only...

Do you really think industry professionals do not need a database ?

We all need fresh sounds, every day.

I guess, the new features let grow the big market of third party libraries and the amount of
awesome new libraries. That is why the database will be even more necessary.

For example think about Cubase and the plugin search - without a full text search field it would make no sense, sorry...
A lot of professionals use Waves mercury, abbey road, plugin alliance, soundtoys, fabfilter and others....
I would be lost in searching and clicking.

And beyond that, it would not be time efficient.

Lately i needed a kazoo instrument - first time i had needed that for a composition.
If i would have no database, i had use window explorer to search the instrument.
Dear NI - you have developed software for hollywood composers and industry professionals and rule the market.
A lot of composers use your amazing piece of software every day!
Shall we have to go back to windows explorer search instead ?

Simply imagine, you would have Google, but you are not allowed to use Google via keyboard input. You could navigate by mouse, only ?
Sorry NI, we composers who focus on 3rd party stuff are highly interested on database search. This is essential for our daily workflow.
How can you operate the world wide web without a keyboard?
Ownership of an NI hardware Controller is not required in this case…

Developer tools mean browsing those content, too.
