I dragged an KK instrument rack onto several Ableton tracks in a project. KK connects and allows me to BROWSE or use the PLUGIN mode.

But after saving the project and reopening - even when record is armed on a track and the track selected ( by mouse or by using KK knob ) the BROWSE button stays disabled and KK acts as a dumb MIDI keyboard.

Interestingly the MIXER page DOES work so the script for DAW ( OSC ) control of ableton seems to be working.

Why does the KK MIXER button work ok in Ableton - allowing me to switch tracks - yet the ability to use the KK browser etc is proving VERY INTERMITTENT ??

    ?????

    Hi d0stenning

Can you upload a project where this occurs so that we can investigate?

    Many thanks,
    Tim

Actually I think i might have solved it myself.

I think I may have been saving "saved states" of the KK plugin preset - where I need to save the ENTIRE KK INSTRUMENT RACK.

Will investigate more but I think this may be me just clicking on the wrong "SAVE" floppy disk icon in the KK rack.

I think - if at all possible - when in ABLETON - maybe an update to the KK plugin would help - where it checks if it is in ableton and is "NAKED" as opposed to inside the official KK Instrument Rack - it presents a warning - as a reminder to not just drag in the KK plugin itself.

    just sayin'
