Sorry to post such noob-ish questions, but its been bothering me quite a bit and I haven't been able to find it on the forums or in the manual.

First, I've downloaded several Effects from the UL that don't have any kind of tempo sync on them and seem to function regardless of when the project is stopped, including some granaular effects that kind of require it for drum-oriented programming. Is there some way I can easily build-in a work-around for this? I really like the effects, but they are pretty much unusable in their current state.

Second, and this is the more noob-ish question, but is there some way I can drop my own loops/samples into the sample-based effects? I've tried drag-dropping, right-clicking every inch of the effect to see if there seems to be an import feature and everything else I can think of. I know there is some way to do it since several samplers in the UL have their own samples, but its a pain to ONLY use those.

Again, sorry for the dumb questions, but any help is very appreciated!

    Welcome to the forum :)

firstly remember that other users will always benefit from answers to your question, so please keep asking

your first question... please be specific about the UL Effects that you are talking about, as that will help us suggest a solution.

your second question.... again being specific about the Ensemble would help ;) having said that, double clicking on the waveform should open up the Sample Map Editor (View also has a drop down list, and pressing F7 works sometimes). in the Sample Map Editor you should see Edit Sample List. click on that to see various choices. as you are new to Reaktor i would suggest Replace - which replaces a sample with one of your own - is a good place to start. when you get more confident try Add,

and then... remember to re-save the Ensemble under an emended name, so the next time you open the Ensemble, your sample is there, and also so that you still have the original Ensemble on your computer.

    Re: Grain Perception

have you read the manual that comes with it?

because it talks about using the Ensemble in a DAW, drawing MIDI note in your DAW Sequencer to trigger the sequences in Grain Perception so they start on beat 1.

is question 2 related to the same Ensemble or something different?
