...from what I remember, it sounds like the old thing and they seem to have included the original factory presets - had quite some aha moments there, too.

Nonetheless, I prefer using the Super 8 by now, which obviously sounds better and has an almost perfect NI hardware integration.

... and sixteen voices only. Pro-53 has 32 voices. Myself prefer the Pro-53 inspiration build with Reaktor 6.
I don't own any musical hardware by NI or from others except a pair of bose boxes and a Sennheiser head phone.

Oscillator and filter code was improved actually, should sound cleaner and sweeter than the OG.

Polyphony limitation was probably made with M+ in mind.

If you want or need set 1024 voices in Reaktor.

That's all beside the point when the Reaktor version doesn't ssound exactly like Pro-53.

No kidding, but you're missing the point.

While I stopped caring about the discontinuation of the Pro-53 with the release of the Super 8, I think, this Maschine implementation is quite exciting, if you consider, that NI is able to implement code, that is "old, outdated and difficult to maintain". Makes me wonder about Massive, which would make a lot of sense in Maschine...

The old, outdated and difficult to maintain part was always the UI shell, not the DSP itself.

And don't forget, Maschine actually comes with Komplete Select, which includes Massive etc.

...good to know about the DSP part. No, with Massive, I meant, that it seems possible, that one day there might be a fully hardware controllable version of it inside Maschine. I guess, then I might buy some version of a Maschine+.
