    This covers it all....
    Well said.
Kore is irrelevant for Topic Opener and his question.
Some of us moved on. Times change.... And it works out fine for us "twerks" :)

    'Twerp' IS polite. :D

And it is NOT for one person to dictate which way a thread should go. If I wish to raise a relevant point about Kore (and I did actually add 'and the comprehensive rating system') then, as a member of this forum, I am at liberty to do so. That the destruction of the rating system was brought about because of NI's rush to forget Kore makes it relevant.

That some of you have 'moved on' may be regarded as you being happy to have 'moved back'.

Thats life man. Look at the economy etc.... Best thing to do is accept it and be happy indeed.
Its not about dictating the way a tread shoold go, its about helping the topic opener , some of us focus on that , some of us drift off a bit and go offtopic and create there own topic within the topic, i completely understand. We all do that from time to time.
And its all fine by me :)

Not at all as he was trying to understand why Massive has colours and ratings but they can't be used. The history explains that.
    ---
Perhaps, but there's a bigger picture here which is that NI product owners are frustrated with the dropping of useful features and the difficulties this has led in organising our presets (even us Kore users because at some point, being realistic, that is not going to be a viable strategy). So we need to make sure that NI is hearing that many people do appreciate how companies like Spectrasonics and Camel have created useful browsers and enhanced their user's ability to easily organise their presets, and that what NI have done is take a step in the wrong direction - this isn't about Kore really, it's about the direction we want Massive and all NI products to go in, many of us as longstanding Komplete owners. They need to know that there is interest in enhanced browsing capabilities, it's not just a minority interest, people look at Alchemy and Omnisphere and compare it to what is currently on offer and think, if only we could do that too!

No need, rather than an abstract topic the OP serves as a much more eloquent case of someone who is looking at Omnisphere etc and wondering why can't I do this with Massive (etc) and why does it have apparent browsing features that don't work? Then to find that only a previous version ago it did and NI disabled them. Says all that needs to be said really, I only hope NI (and Keir) are listening.

They know the browser is bad but don't seem to be aware of losing sales because of it. It's been two years. In that time CamelAudio hired BigTick to build a Kore browser for Alchemy to make the program easier to work with. It already had Kore's morph pad

Well. Hello NI, I'm new to making music, I own Maschine, and I have reservations about purchasing Komplete due to the issues discussed in this thread.

If we had the features described, I would have no hesitation with this purchase.

If I write "twerp" will this get seen by NI? ;)

Amazing to me that people would not get Komplete because of this, yet do get Maschine witch doesnt suport multicore etc etc lol quit funny

I don't understand your comparison. They are two very different things. Though I can understand frustration at both, the lack of efficient browsing in no way equates to a performance failure. It's rather like you're saying that people might avoid buying a specific book because of (say) a lack of a decent index but would buy a bulldozer even though it's slow. ;) Or am I now being a twerp?

I can explain that for you.
2 different things but still the same thing in the way, that there both not perfect. (Yet they are top products tho!)
But what is perfect? There is always something to find that can be improved its just whats acceptable. There is a reason updates keep comming in every single software product.... There are always things to improve.

I named multi core and added etc etc, because there's more feateres that are requested that would improve workflow.
When it comes down to Massive , it seems that only 1 (small) problem is the reason to not buy a whole bundle like komplete, witch has much more to offer than just a few synths. Kontakt or guitar rig alone would be more costs , Komplete is a major good deal! To let it slide because of this?
That makes it even more onlogic or unjustifeid imo....

Tho i just read in another tread the real reason he does not get komplete is lackof money, not because of the browser....
That i can kompletely understand offcourse.

Now I actually CAN understand to let it slide because of this.

(Back to Kore for a moment - sorry) I bought into the whole Kore/Komplete paradigm because it was by far the most efficient way of categorising a huge library. I want to make music. I don't want want to spend countless hours searching for the right sound. I want to be able to AT LEAST narrow down my search with as many parameters as possible. I knew that Kore would not do this to my ENTIRE satisfaction (I'm getting to the point - honest) but it meant that a lot of work would only have to be done once - ie testing and categorising. I spent many, many hours over a couple of years tagging my library. I was just at the point when the work was starting to really pay off when NI 'pulled the plug' (pun intended). After all that work I'm adverse to any addition to my library that does not have an efficient browser. Do you see what I mean?

Yeah i see what you mean and i understand youre dislike completely.

Btw, i just thoight about this: I was talking about updates in my previous post, i misspoke a bit on that part because, basicly Massive got a downgrade rather than a update ;)

It's 'Twerp'. And it's a word that's not used much these days. It's meaning is usually someone who refuses to accept an obvious fact. Or someone being irritating. Or sometimes someone just plain daft. Really, it's quite a friendly insult

But you're not a twerp now. I think we understand each other ;)

I've had a quick look at some of your videos btw. They look great. I'll have a closer look when I have time.

Ah wel in that case, twerp would suit me from time to time i guess haha ;)
My old teachers will totally agree on that haha

Nothing wrong with a litlle discusion now and than , everybody has a opinion or point of view and its nice to share them, sometimes you learn from it, sometimes the other. And sometimes nobody lol.

Thanks, i need to improve my videoskills tho, hard in English for me so it doesnt always works out the way i wanted lol but its fun to do and help some people out. Im planning to do more in depth videos and organize them etc. But its just a hobby.

Maybe it's not a good reason to 'not buy Komplete'. And when the time is right I probably will. But it's still a big reservation of mine, having SO many sounds and not having the best browsing experience possible.

After all Maschine is quite obviously supposed to be the center of your studio in the NI framework, and is sold on the seamless integration with Komplete. I think much better browsing from hardware is in order, similar to what I have read Kore had.

Not complaining as such, it's just an observation/reservation. :)
