    Ipads definitely help with manuals

But how many here have tried to read a Roland manual?

Its translated from English, to Japanese, to German, to Urdu, then back into English...its the only explanation I can think of ;)

dude Roland manuals are the WORST by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Korg are amongst the best I have ever read. Actually, my waldorf micro q was a pretty damn good manual as well.

I think NI have really cleaned up their act also and the new ones are very good - the old manuals in Reaktor 2 etc were terrible.

As others have alluded to, if you're not a reader there's plenty of free video tutorials out there. Plus, the PDF format makes it easy to search for exactly what you want to know.

I'll admit, I'm a reader but a slow learner. It just hit me the other day, song production is like a 4 step process - beat creation, arrangement, mixing, and mastering. Skipping steps makes for a weak song.
