I am not sure if anyone asked for this yet and I know it's not an important issue but might be useful for some people and not only me.

So let's say you set a few cue points in a song these will be numbered by the order at which you set them. Skipping to the previous and next point will then work according to that order and not by their order in the song's timeline.

Having a button that automatically changes the order of cuepoints according to their point in the timeline would be very handy. Anything like a small button next to the cue point list (like the trash bin) or a key assignment would do, I guess.
But please do not make the cue points set automatically in time order. Sometimes the custom order has a purpose ;)

You can change the order using the map.
Also you can make shortcuts to keyboard that go to next or previous cue point.

@McFat : This is what 'Select Hot Cue' is for.
You already have 'Next / Previous ' or 'Select Hot Cue'

But anyway you can set your Cue points in any order they dont have to be in time order. Cue Point 6 can be before Cue Point 3.
Then you have the choice of the above mentioned ways to jump to those points.

Yes, but that's a bit of a nasty thing to do on a track with about 6 or more cue points. That's why I'm asking for a way to do it automatically.

Oh, I see that next or previous goes by the timeline and not the cue point's number, right? Currently I have Select Hotcue from 1 - 8 mapped and it, of course, goes by the number and not the timeline.

I think I wasn't clear then because that's exactly the problem I was talking about.

I like the idea of a timeline-cleanup/autoremaping command for those 8 mappable hotcues but i would be satisfied if from keyboard/midi and not in graphical gui. Also because midi/keyboard make hotcues play immediately, i would appreciate this command even more.

    +1 for Sort Hotcues Chronologically.

It wouldn't be on by default. You could activate it (Check it) in Preferences like in Serato Scratch Live. The next time you load your track, the cues would be sorted.
