Please see this thread for details.

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?p=888078#post888078

Basically if I create a Koresound for a Reaktor ensemble preset and want to share it with another user I seem to be running into problems.

    1) It seems very hit and miss that Kore and Reaktor will read the username path properly - it seems that the majority of the Koresounds I made are asking for my username path ie.

    C:\Users\stephen\Documents\Native Instruments\Reaktor5\Library\Ensembles\MF Auralis

when they should just be directed to the user's own Documents and Reaktor user library folder - not my specific path

    2) In 90% of cases if Reactor can't find the specified ensemble used for a koresound and the user then clicks on the "locate ensemble" provided by Reaktor it will crash Reaktor, then Kore, and then sometimes cause a system crash too. This is unacceptable behaviour and it appears to be doing this on PC and Mac.

Please tell me where on Earth I am supposed to be putting Reaktor ensembles if I want the koresound to be readable on another person's system (and remember this is not just a case of sharing patches but what do I do when I change to a new system myself?).

And please fix this bug as a matter of urgency.

many .ksd listings in the Kore library for Reaktor ensembles make me manually locate the ensemble

I resaved my MF Auralis patches a second time and they seem to work now so I'm not having the problem any more at the moment but the crash bug isn't fixed (when trying to use locate ensemble) and I still don't know why I had to resave them all in the first place.

it sucks that every time i try to open a preset from within Kore that corresponds to a Reaktor ensemble coming from the "new additions" folder and the "classics" folder, i am forced to "locate ensemble". totally blows

Had this problem with the Reaktor Animated Circuits sounds from Compilation Vol. 1. I in fact located Newscool and then *poof* Kore crashed to the desktop. I'm slightly happy to see I'm not the only one, but yeah this is an annoying problem.

It's certainly something that should be a priority for NI to fix before stopping development on Kore. Particularly the "poof" crashing when you try and auto locate.
