Resolved Sound glitches on new 3.5

So I updated from 3.4.2 to the latest update 3.5 and now I have glitches in the sound. I opened the 3.4.2 version to test and no problems at all. Can someone explain to me why all the fuss to get all the Beatport and Beatsource Integration added just to compromise everything else? I mean seriously! So I’m sticking with 3.4.2 because it works flawlessly. I have no need to ever want to update again. It’s always disappointing.

The point of updates is never for us to compromise anything we've already set up before.

Could you be a bit more explicit about what's happening on your computer ? A short video recording what's happening would be nice for example.
Could you also give us your set up configuration (OS, hardware connected etc...) or running the NI Support Tool on your machine (https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/ni-support-tool.375535/) and send me the result via private message ?

The goal of this forum is to report bugs so we can try to solve them to make Traktor experience better for everyone.

I wanted to apologize for my bad choice of words.. I didn't mean "compromise".. It was out of frustration that I said that..
I couldn't live without my Traktor. I ran the NI support Tool.. here it is..

updating from 3.4.2 to 3.5 I also experience sound glitches (crackling) in *some* tracks (*.ogg) that weren't there when playing in 3.4.2. unfortunately I don't have a Jira account to check the bug report TP-15663 and I couldn't find where to open one

It's normal that you can't access to Jira. It's our intern platform.

Could you record a short capture of Traktor when you experience this problem ? Let me know also what's your OS you're working on.

My Operating System is Windows 10 Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1052)

I noticed that OGG files which i downloaded before 2021 seem to crackle under 3.5. I am trying to replicate the error and will send you a clip and I can also send you OGG file to test if want. please provide me with an email address and a I case number.

Hi everyone,

Thanks to your contribution on this forum, we have been able to reproduce and to fix this issue.
We now know that the audio glitches will only occur with any MP3s with a resolution under ~180kbps. We are about to finalise a beta version that will be available as soon as possible next week and should solve this issue.

The second issue observed on certain .ogg files that is still under investigation.

I HAVE THE PROBLEMS WITH FLAC AUDIO @ WINDOWS 10

 

I observed the same issue with Version 3.5 @ WIN 10 with S4 MK3 aswell with internal sound card. Traktor 3.4.2.256 was running clean before. I also found on track @ 180kbps with this issue and many track below that rate. But not all tracks 180kbps below are clearly audible affected.

I also have the same problem on mp3 music files. The sound of these files crackles and the quality is completely deteriorated. I have reverted to version 3.4.2 to eliminate this problem because I have a party tomorrow.

I have MacBook Pro Mid 2012 with Catalina - 16 Go - SSD 512 Go - Traktor 3 Pro with Kontrol S5

 

Hello everyone, Fermin here. New to the forum.
I also have the same problem (clicks), but I've had on & off problems or issues with high dpc latency with my Dell Inspiron 5570, it's a 64 bit system running on a1tb sata SSD with 16 GB ram on an intel core i7-7500 cpu @ 2.70 GHz, 2904 Mhz, 2 cores, all drivers and bios updated. When running the diagnostic function it tells me no critical audio issues detected, no buffer underruns either. But when I run latencymon..now .that is another story. It tells me my laptop can't process audio in real-time...The strange thing is, my laptop can go on for months without giving me headaches, then all of a sudden it starts having these clicks every so often. I have researched in-depth to no avail. I am either doing something wrong or my laptop despite the changes I made to it, simply can't manage it, therefore I must migrate to a Mac.

On the other hand, build 3.5 , in my case, when loading tracks on either deck, the waveform on the bottom is not showing, sometimes only the cue points are visible but not always. I have 2 different screenshots of the problem which I will upload for you guys. The other issue I came across today was that when I selec in the preferences/browsing details/colour only adjacent keys, nothing happens.

 

For the adjacent key's colors to show, keylock needs to be activated on the MASTER deck.

 

I'm glad this isn't just me, it almost sounds as if the audio files were corrupt, like a phasing in and out with crackles! Whereas the same tracks played completely fine in 3.4!
