Sound of the day

From today on I will frequently post my sound of the day. Here is an Absynth patch called Droneland with a soundscape involving a large sample which I produced with Reaktor 5 and Kontakt, a lot of waveshaping and filter modulation going on. Sounds best between c2-c4, just press a key, wait and enjoy.
It was too big for the User library so I had to post it here. The zip file can bedownloaded via the link below, it's around 31 MB and contains the ksd patch and the wav sample.

Today my sound of the day is a granular flute pad almost sounding like a female voice in the upper registers with morphing grains and other stuff to check out. It's located in the User Library:

first with Thanks, now may I state it would be even better if you on occasion would bundle up the work and make it available via a single download. As much as I appreciate your efforts, I simply don't have the time or inclination to pull stuff from different locations to get a single sound on a regular basis.

Just my suggestion, but i bet others would be interested as well.

On the other hand, maybe we should all be contributing a "sound of the day". It is a great idea not only for those that listen to these sounds, but also for those of us that should be making time for sound design everyday.

Yes that would be more practical but it would also spoil the idea of "sound of the day" and then it would be called "bank of the week".
Also some of the involved samples being very large one would eventually have to download a huge zip file from my website exceeding a GB in size and that wouldn't be very practical either. So "take it or leave it" as they say.

I noticed through an error report that my choruspad from last sunday as well as the grainflute patch didn't contain the required Audio sample in wav format so I uploaded it again today. It seems that the UL doesn't like samples in aiff format.

I made another sound today called Modelled Mandolinsitar. A sample of my tinkling doorkeys, granulated and then sent through combfilters generating this strange, unheard string instrument. Absynth's comb filters really sound terrific for this kind of modelling stuff.
