Sound volume

    I have Maschine Studio, I have noticed that a lot of sounds are much louder than others. Most of the drums/percs are quiet. But even different sounds from within Massive or Prism have a big volume discrepancy. Sometimes it sounds like nothing is playing, only if I hit the pad hard, I can slightly hear it - but others from within the same sound bank are loud.

    If I turn up the volume to compensate for the quiet sounds, the loud sounds are too loud!

    Why is this?

    Can you give some examples of presets that are significantly different in volume?

    And does this still happen in an entirely blank, new project?

    Most sounds will be velocity-sensitive with velocity scaling set to positive and linear and so the harder you play (or the higher the velocity of the triggering note), the louder the sound will be.

    Happens on new project.

    For example, in Massive, 220v is much louder than 64er lead... even if I bash the pad hard on 64er lead...
