If I disable ALL operators in the FM Matrix I still get sound - WTF.

Repro - choose "Tube Thumper Preset, click on "expert" - right click on all enabled operators to disable them - press a key - still sound coming out right? One can even disable the routing manually by dragging them down to zero - Same thing.

Someone please confirm - Is this a bug or has FM8's audio routing totally changed from FM7?

    NI Please fix

And, Michael Kurz explained why in an e-mail I got a couple minutes ago. The morph control isn't completely in one corner, so it's still catching the other morph positions, where the operators ARE turned on. It also happens with Thumped Again, and I'm sure a couple others.

thanks EW, I'll try it today,

I've also found what seems to be a bug in the arp in FM8. simiar to the old kontakt bug where if it is playing in a loop in cubase some bars will play back and others wont (load fm7 in place of FM8 and no such problems occur - so seems to point to an fm8 problem) I will post here soon as NI support has not yet got back to me in over a week.

    Cheers

Ah... how could you trace a bug in the arp of FM8 like that, considering FM7 doesn't have an arpeggiator?

I think the arp causes it as it is mainly fm8 patches with the arp on cause this drop out, switching to any other VSTI IN EXACTLY THE SAME TRACK plays back normally.

I submitted the sx project under the following Support no : TS 98494

will wait a few more days though for support to respond.

    Cheers
