soundcard/ midi control combos

Originall I had been looking at an Audio 8 + an Xone 1D, to - for a traktor setup to be combined with my current 4 channel mixer. Browsing around I came across the Xone 2D which pretty much does the job of both the A8 & the 1D for around the same price (if not a little cheaper than) the 2 units. Other than not being able to cross convert over to scratch- would I be losing anything by going withthe 2D?

 

You should be fine with just the 2d and its one bit less of kit and cables to lug around. I have a 1d with a Mackie d4 pro mixer (Traktor certified) which has a soundcard built in and it works fine. Just waiting for my Traktor Pro upgrade to arrive now.

 

Thanks! I'm curious - with your mackie mixer does that route/ map the audio from traktor directly into each fader/channel without audio patch cables?
