    How can I use SF2-Files with Kontakt2?

When I drag and drop files ending "SF2" in Kontakt2 I get an error-message "The Batch could not be loaded - unknown error".

Can anybody give me a hint?

yep I experienced the same recently with one of the papelmedia freebies. dunno an other workaround than converting it before to a nki with an external prog like exsc or cdxtract or whatever.

Have you tried Kontakt's Import feature (Files tab)? It is not bug free, though. Some SF2 files don't get imported correctly. This should be fixed in the next update.

There are problems with K2 and SF2 import. Some samples just sound strange. According to the responsible person (Garth Hjelte), he forgot a comma in the code for K2.1. Now we have waited half a year for them to fix it. NI should learn form other companies who issue more frequent updates.

    A comma? =)

No, I was explicit about this; the issue is with looped dual-mono samples that get combined to stereo. Otherwise the import in 2.1 is fine. 2.2 is on it's way and will address the stereo loop point issue.

Sorry, not a comma but a "typo" according to you 22nd July:

"It actually never existed - the bug, that is - in Translator. It only cropped up in the Kontakt code (it was a typo, actually)."

So the bug was fixed at least 4 months ago, and we still haven't got the update!
