speakers for home dj

Hi. Look forward advice on speakers for djing at home in small bedroom. Got a old HiFi with speakers but sound quality is not good. Looking at purchasing some new ones.
Setup I have is technics 1210s and Hercules remix 2 controller.
Do I go for studio monitors ( krk m-audio) or a good set of HiFi speakers.
Been reading that studio monitors are no good for djing and u need a sub with them.
The room is not big and whatever I buy will only b used in that room

I´m using these and I´m satisfied with them. They have some power on the low ends as well but I never blast them anyway... reviews are mostly positive.

JBl Monitors are still the best for me. I've been using my JBL LSR305 for a year and I haven't encountered any problems. Also, it is great to have a trusted headphone as well. Been looking for a great recommendation though... Can anyone recommend?

Having used both I prefer good hi-fi speakers over studio monitors. My Monitor Audio's sound amazing compared to my Adam A7's when I'm DJing, much more low end and loads more fun to play on.
