spektral delay has unexpectedly quit osx

hello,
can anyone help with this;
spektral delay unexpectedly quits in standalone mode virtually as soon
as i click on its ikon.
i installed it from komplete2 and used it quite a few times with no problems.
this is the first time i have tried it in standalone mode since using it as an rtas plugin in protools...it still works as a rtas plugin
just not in standalone mode.
ive tried trashing the folder and reinstalling it from the disk,which it does with no problems...but i still get the same problem.
can anyone help,im getting really frustrated.

Hi,

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago - If you trash the "spektral
delay.plist" in BOTH the global and user library/preference folders -
then when you next launch SD, make sure you have the original install
CD/DVD mounted+serial no. handy.
You should be asked to locate the presets folder at some point during
the launch (as you did the first time you installed).
make sure you locate the presets that are copied on your hard
drive..not the one on your CD/DVD.
and all should be good.

the problem seems to be that when SD is referencing the presets from
the installer CD/DVD - it will quit on launch if the CD/DVD is not
mounted.

i followed your instructions on trashing the plists in the user/global library,but when it came to entering the serial number it only gave me space for 3 seperate combinations of numbers but the serial number i have for komplete2 requires 5 seperate combinations of numbers!i tried entering my serial number anyway but which ever way i tried it just kept taking me back to the enter serial number window.

I"ve had my copy of SD for some time now - so its probably an older
serial number group, it has 3 separate blocks of numbers.
the problem you are getting in stand alone will more than likely
related to the presets folder.
I use my SD within Logic Audio as a plugin - and have had no problems,
but at the studio where I work we use it in ProTools and have had no
problems as far as the stand alone version is concerned.
