    All,

I thought I'd update my stand-alone (non-Komplete 2) version of SD with the v1.5.7 patch but, on looking at the associated "What's new?", I came across the somewhat confusing and rather unhelpful message:

"The VST ID on PC has changed. This means that your host will not find the older version of Spektral Delay anymore. In order to use the respective presets, please save all your presets BEFORE installing this update. After updating you have to reload Spektral Delay and the respective presets."

Needless to say, I have tried to update a (clean installed from the CD) version of SD and did, indeed, find that I couldn't update it. However, I'm at a loss to know - because the above message isn't exactly explicit - whether it should be possible to upgrade the non-Komplete version with the v1.5.7 patch.

Has any attempted this and succeeded . . . if so, how did you manage it?

    Cheers
    Dave

    over the 1.5 update.
    BUT:
the old standalone is still there; inside the "bin" folder. the new standalone "Spektral Delay.exe" is not in the "bin" folder. did you check your shortcuts?

    Magneton,

OK, I swear that it refused point blank to upgrade my stand-alone SD when I tried it over the weekend! Evidently, the new week has seen the system mellow somewhat as it now (at least) recognises that I've got SD installed - which it wouldn't do beforehand.

B*ggered if I know what's different but it seems as though it'll work now.

    Thanks for the prompt
    Dave
