Splitting Content between internal and external drive for Komplete?

    I have a Macbook with a 500G SSD I bought to use with Mainstage. I certainly don't need all the Content/instruments as a keyboard player for live use. Can i split the Content folder between my internal drive (for instruments needed for live use) and my external drive (for drums an everything else I don't need live)?

    I will install just what I need locally then maybe try to run installation again to install other instruments on external drive (if it will let me do it).

    If that not possible then can I have the full content folder on the external drive and make a config change in Komplete to flip back and forth between internal and external drives for the content?
