The deal is much more awesome if you consider that 50% OFF is applied also to the bundles. For example:

    Dual Bundle | 2 Products | $119 instead of $199

    Triple bundle | 3 Products | $169 instead of $249

Complete set | All Products | $299 instead of $449

    @JR,

that's right. I made a mistake, I wanted to say that also the bundles are discounted but not 50% OFF.

One product is $65, if you order the Complete Set you pay all 6 products $299 which means $49 per product.

I looked at the prices and assumed you meant discount for buying the bundles as compared to the 50% off on single instruments, but thanks for clarifying :)

    Thanks for clearing that up...

Does "DirectGuitar" have feedback (simulated or real)?

No, DirectGuitar doesn't have any feedback effect but it has other different noise effects such as cable, string tuning.

Pettinhouse makes some good guitar sounds. There's even a free demo, if you're not sure you want to take the plunge.

    Someone's been busy!

I don't remember all these free samples the last time I was at the site--how long have I been gone?

Looks like I'll be busy tonight, downloading more samples (not that that's a bad thing, mind you).

Thanks for the samples and for the sale on the sounds!

I wrote asking if these would have the annoying DEMO timeout on K3, and never got a reply. Reason I ask is I tried the DirectBass Free, and it would time out after 15 min. The activation would never take. I never got enough time to test the bass without having to reload. I'm not interesting in buying a full product that times out.

it doesn't time out if you have the full version of Kontakt, I've never had that issue, but maybe it's a problem with using them in Kontakt 3 instead of 4? Not sure since I'm running 4

I don't see your previous post with that question, TexasFury, but I believe SaintJoe is correct: these shouldn't be any problem with Kontakt 4. I've even used the free sample sounds Pettinhouse gives away with NI's free Kontakt 4 player, and haven't had a problem.

You might want to check out Pettinhouse's Web site, just to be sure. (I just did, but I didn't see anything about this issue.) And if you have any questions, you can e-mail Mr. Pettinao directly. I did, and got a response within 24 hours. He was helpful and courteous.

Okay, I got Kontakt 4 last week just so I could run the Pettinhouse guitars. So far I've watched all the MacProVideo and read most of the manual. K4 comes with a lot of great drums and keyboards, but these guitars and the Scarbee basses are definitely a huge improvement over the default NI library. And everything is going to be really cool when K4 becomes 64-bit compatible with Mac.

Thanx guys, at the time I wasn't hip on the Kontakt Player/Sampler differences, now I know how it works. I'm just gonna have to buy the full Kontakt. Or.....is there a "no brainer" deal on a licensed bass library/instrument somewhere?

How much skill is needed to play these instruments?

I need a really cool and funky Rhythm guitar. I was looking at Papen RG, but this looks really cool. I'm not the best at playing the keys, so I wanted to know how much skill I need to make a those riffs you got going on in your demo? I need some "Brother's Johnson" riffs, "Cameo" riffs, Tom Browne (funky for Jamaica) riffs! Feel me?:D

    Autowah...?

I'm using two or three Pettinhouse guitars on almost every track now. In the Kontakt factory library the guitars and some other instruments have some very cool auto-wah and random pan effects I'd like to have access to. Is there any way to apply these effects to third-party instruments? I was looking for a way to save the effects chain as a preset, then open it in another instrument, but I haven't figured out how to do this yet. I've only had the full Kontakt for a few weeks. Any ideas?

    Thanks...
