I have had some communication with Greg at orange tree, and i think Evolution Gtrs.will kill and cover a broader range of options. Plus it is great to have someone who responds to deal with.

 

I checked out the Orange Tree guitars. I think I like the Pettinhouse Direct guitar and Jazz guitar much better. But while I was there I checked out some of their awesome basses. They've got a great upright bass and a Jaco bass that kills. There's also a group buy going on for the next 10 days. I just joined:

I still have not heard anything back. I guess the deal is off making Direct guitar 129. At that price there are other competitors like papen RG, Virtual Strat and some others. Has anyone tried some of these other ones and how do they compare?
