Hi. My current PC's sound keep dropping out when I play 4 decks at the same time.

    My current PC's spec is

    Chain tech(mother boad)
    Pentium 4 3.0Ghz
    1024MB memory
    80GB HDD(7200RPM)

    M-Audio FW 410
    TDJS 3.01

Looks good enough to play, isn't it? But I can't even use 3 decks properly when I apply the best time stretch quality. The reason of big latency might be the type of Fire Wire adaptor or graphic card quality etc... I can't really guess.

So I am planing to get a new PC which can play 4decks and effects with FW 410. Surely I would like to apply the best quality of time stretch, key lock on each channel and small latency, as well.

As you know,it is hard to tell which PC is gonna be good enough to run traktor 3 without test running.
Please tell me the name, spec and brand of PC
which can play 4 decks if you know.
I am interested in Duo core, as well. Does Traktor work well on Dual core?

    Thank you

Your current setup shoudl play T3 fine. Before buying a new PC, I'd do some investigating into background apps that might be running, latency setting adjustment, etc. Search this forum for "sound drops out" and you'll find a lot of information.

yes, you might want to try this tool before throwing your PC out of the window... ;-)

I would second that. I tried the tool on my MacBookPro (Dual Core 2.16) running XP and my latency dropped from around 2000 microseconds to under 80 microseconds just by turning off the built-in WIFI adapter (not uninstalling it, just turning it off).

I could probably get even lower with more optimization.

Thanks. My PC is currently working without any problem after fixed by manufacture about mother board prblem.
I do not know weather that was reason or not though.
The defraging softeare by Soruce next which only work on Japanese OS worked really well for PC.

Really sorry about late response. My PC had been broken and I traveled for a while. Which did not give me much time to check the thread.
I really appreciate about great help!

Glad it's working for you! And it's always nice when the problem isn't the app itself.
