I apologize if there's a thread out there with the answer to this but I could not find it.

Anyone know how I can get the Midi settings updated to be able to control TS Pro with my stanton Dascratch? Is this something I would have to set up on my own or does anyone know a shortcut? There is no info on this in the Stanton website.

Thanks in advance, any info would be apreciated.

I have a 4 deck dual controller preset I'm working on, but I found a few bugs last night that I need to fix. I can tell you that you can do everything in Pro that you can do in T3 but a good few of the control assignments are now different.

Thank you. I can already tell I will be much happier when everything is updated. I'm only using 1 dascratch controller along with a turntable and mixer.
To get the new control assignments updated, will I have to do it myself or will there be someplace to download them?
I'm sorry I just bought TS and T3 about a month ago and I was barely learning T3 when I got this upgrade and now I'm pretty much re-learning everything from ground zero.

Don't worry mate, its not all bad there is lots of new juicy stuff to learn here. I dunno what Stanton are doing in terms of a Traktor Pro daScratch update. I'll ask Nem0nic to see what he can say.

Anyone want to enlighten us on how to map the stantouch scratch surface to work as a jog wheel(Specific). Phill? I'm not really much on waiting for someone to do it for me. Everything else is working, but surface = jog has got me whooped, Yes, I'm dumb. Anyone want to see the only retard crazy enough to let people watch him attempt to scratch on something called "DaScratch"; then take a look--
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOb3-p4Ux7c. It's not that good, but if you can do better let's see it.

Phil, what did you do to switch decks? The most obvious control (the "deck") mode button gets intercepted by DaRouter with the 2 SCS.3D generic and traktor presets.

Looks like what they do for the "single" SCS.3D preset is just use the "deck" button to output the same controls on a different MIDI channel (and update the deck LED on the controller).

I was going to just create my own preset, but the included ones are in .bmte format (encrypted) and can't be edited. And with a lack of documentation for what midi notes control the modes and such on the SCS.3D, I didn't get too deep into reverse engineering it.

I've heard they are working on a 4 deck/dual SCS.3D preset though, so I don't want to have to remap everything once that comes out.

I've been playing with Bome's and the dascratch and its a fantastic bit of software, but it is tricky to get your head round at first. I've implemented the LEDs around the jog area to act as a spinnging platter when play/stop is pressed and also to be dragged at the same time while scratching, but its only the trial version and the original is encrypted. I dont want to re-do everything that stanton has done, so can anyone help?

My DaScratch used to work as nicely as the youtube video posted above, unfortunately I only had T3/TS and the DaScratch for a couple weeks before I got the free upgrade to Pro and I still dont know how to mirror the settings on the midi as they were before upgrading. Any pointers or help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I've just posted this so you can see what I've done

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlyNuOfUYuM

This has been done in Bome's Author, but its only the trial version, so I cant use it in DaRouter for more than 20/30 mins (problem with encryption aswell I think), and at the moment its got no more functionality than the platter and the gain control. I was hoping to sweet-talk Jim at Stanton to give me the original file so that I could add this to it, but I doubt he'll send me that. So the plan is to completely re-program everything that Stanton has done. Plus more!

Having a little trouble aswell with T Pro. Downloaded the demo yesterday, and on 2 computers it wont let me play, or even skip through a song. On a friends computer it works fine.

If I can help with any settings or tweeks, I'd gladly help.

In Vinyl mode on the da Scratch the two midi Messages you want for deck transport controls. CC76 ch8 and ch9 are the messages produced by wheel motion. CC77 Ch8 and ch9 are produced by the center strip. The message parameter stays the same, but the channel changes when using 2 decks.

any way you slice it you need to use Da Router to get the Jog Wheel messages formed correctly. Vinyl mode is your friend (obviously) BTW.

its not through Traktor, thats for sure

I've used Bome's midi author to use tha actual usb signals, rather than midi controls, and a few variables for states of play etc,

I think it works really well, just not sure what the life of the LEDs is :(

Excellent Good to see its working. what may have been causing you grief is he Da Scratch preset is behaving like a reall Jog Wheel and sends a Touch-off note message when you take your finger off the controller. If you just learn the message and do not know to turn off learn while you are still touching the circle then you will be getting the wrong MIDI Message. the trick is to pay close attention to the message when you touch the control AND when you release it.

@Scoppak Great to hear you got that part working. Well done you'll be doing sick schist in no time ;)

Yeah like you I was stuck on the buttons so for now I used the 4 bottons beside the Wheel, Top Left controller 1 Top Right Controller 2 Bottom Left Controller 1 and Bottom right Controller 2 for decks A,b.C.D respectively. Its not what I want to end up using but for now it works. I played in Author a little bit to see what I could do but I don't have time at present.
I also use the TAP buttons as modifier triggers so I can make the wheels useable for everything from phase sync to rapid seeking.

    Da Router MIDI Output Map

For those with the SCS3.d, may I present the control map for the output of Da Router using the Traktor Da Router Preset. The map gives you a breakdown of the output of all button and sliders for all the various modes the controller runs in.

Many thanks to Stanton for allowing me to use their graphics from the Traktor 3 preset documentation.

Jim: If you are from Stanton, I've sent you an email to your work address.

Has anyone had the problem with Pro not playing and music?
The tracks load into each of the decks, but you cant move through them, or play them. the button lights up, but doesn't do anything.

Really want to start playing with the settings :(
