    I assume that the start and end points of the sample can be set with a mouse like any other soft sampler. But can these also be set with the knobs of the Maschine controller? If so, are there various resolutions to move through the sample with large and small steps?

    yes, and yes :)

    holding shift and then moving the knob results in resolutions of small steps. just moving the knobs results in a higher resolution.

    btw, with the Software, you can double click on the numbers, and type them in.
