So, yes of course there have been a few hundread posts with regard to lag and or static. As stated in the title of what I use for my set up. I actually went out and spent 2k on a Mac becuase I thought my PC was the problem for the lag. Not a chance. My DJ instructor uses Serato with an Audio interface kind of like the Traktor Audio 6. No lag, no Static.

Maybe someone from NI can help me figure this out to keep a long lasting customer. If not I am sorry but I will just spend the $500 to switch to Serato. I've already spent much more than that trying to fix this problem with Traktor 2 Pro.

Thanks for you help. Anyone and everyone.

there are known issues with the DJM900 drivers and/or firmware which result in crackles and distortion in the timecode signal. this is a problem on pioneer's side and i believe they are looking into it. are you using a separate audio interface or plugging directly into the DJM900 USB port?

Personally your biggest mistake was thinking that buying a macbook would solve your problems as the issue you describe is clearly associated with the driver/audio interface combo.. and given you are either using the onboard sound card of the PC or MBP or that of the CDJ900 then i simply dont know why you are blaming Traktor!..

For sure the S4 controller has had its number of sound card driver issues with some people... but none of those threads/comment apply in your case...

    good luck!

    Thank you

Thanks for the comments everyone. I fixed the problem enough to run with no static or lag. I am buying the audio interface shortly and that will make the adjustment even easier. It was a bad week with electronics I have to say. Thus the reasoning for the blame game.

    Appreciate all the advice.

    Happy spinning.

When you run traktor, Turn the lag from 1.5ms to something greater. I scrolled the tab to about a third of the way. The only issue with doing this is that your computer lags a little bit, the screen does at least.
