Status Que of the 32-bit NI ecosystem ?

Hi. I wonder what options and challenges are available for using 32-bit type NI products as of now.

My interest is founded in historical curiosity, as well as I only recently stepped in to the x64 bit domain but still are working in the 32-bit area.

I guess this have been discussed thoroughly in the past, If someone could refer me to some threads I would be grateful.

One concrete question. Is it possible to install and use both Machine 1.x and Machine 2.x at the same time on an x64 type system ? Afraid a dual install will mess things up.

 

I can oy answer the last question, yes it works. I don't have any idea about 32 bit plugins as i use only 64 bit stuff now for years. But if you can install them and your host is compatible with 32 bit plugins it should work.
