Stem volumes - 3 project files needed?

    Hi,

    I've tried making my first stem format but I find the info of the manual and the info clip somewhat confusing.
    Have I got this right?:
    1. bounce 4 groups from your project as stems.
    2. Open a second project to master them all together and bounce the master.
    3. Bounce each individual stem under the same master settings.
    4. Open a third project to bring the volume of the individual stems down (in group) and bounce them again.
    5. Use the stem creator tool to balance everything and export.

    I don't understand why the third project is nescessary (is it? it's not described in the manual but you can see it in the instruction video). Why doesn't the stem creator tool do this for you?

    Can anyone check the result please? It's a free download for a while :) (until I'm sure I got it right)
