I've tried repeatedly to get my F1 to work with the step sequencer. I've followed the tutorial to the letter several times but it doesn't respond as expected. I've installed the tsi files for every deck and checked midi mode is set to user. In the controller manager, device setup tab, it appears as "Traktor.Kontrol F1.user (None)" instead of "Traktor.Kontrol F1. user (Kontrol F1) and when I press the Shift and Browse buttons, all pads go blue but instead of a number between 2 and 16, i get a 0. I've tried reconnecting the F1 and restarting the software a number of times but always get the same result. Can anyone help? Thanks.

It's been a while since I've played with Traktor but, it sounds to me like you just need to select your F1 in the in/out port drop-downs, next to the device drop-down.

Thanks Frankie, I've tried that, it showed promise i.e. one pad changed colour, I could only get it to play once though. I've since tried with a D2 which worked perfectly. I'm beginning to suspect the tsi didn't load properly.

Hmm. I suppose, delete the .tsi files from device manager and reimport just one to see if you can get that going. I hoped it was as simple as configuring the in/out but, if reimporting doesn't work, I don't know what else you could do. I haven't had any interest in the sequencer so, haven't even tried it once with my F1.

I had the same issue but deleting (as per advice above) and then setting the I/O ports correctly solved it - but also brough a bunch of other issues....which i'll save for a separate thread :)
