    Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a way to change the stereo spread of a M/S recorded audio-file within Kontakt and I can't find a solution... does anyone have a hint? Perhaps I am missing something, it can't be such a big deal. Every DAW has a built-in plugin for this.
    Any help is very appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

You could try the Stereo Modeller effect?

Unfortunately, this only works like a normal enhancer based on a normal stereo file. But to make a mid and side signal out of two mono recordings, I think I’ve found a workaround: you could put the first mono file into one group which is routed to output1 (mid signal), the second mono file into another group which is panned hard left and routed to output2 (side signal normal) and a copy of the second mono file into a third group which is panned hard right and phase inverted and routed to output3 (side signal phase inverted). It works, but it sounds a little bit different compared to the m/s encoder plugin of the DAW. But it is only very subtle.
Now I just have to fiddle a script that controls the volume of the groups depending on each other. If group 1 (Mid) gets quieter, group 2 AND 3 (Side L and R) should get louder accordingly... phew! Sorry for the long post

Ah, I‘ve just realized you could send the two side signal groups to the same output, that makes it easier
