Been messing around with the preferences trying to make sure everything was set up properly but I'm still having problems trying to record my mixes.

Here's where I'm at so far:
-RCA's connected from Channel C of the Audio8 to the Record In on my DXM09
    -Preferences > Recording > External Source & Input = Channel C
    -Input Routing > Input Channel C - L(Mono)=5, R=6

In Traktor, while the music is playing, when I switch over the source on the Audio8 from Channel C to D then back to Channel C again, I can see the meter jump like it's recording but then it slowly fades out to nothing. So it looks like it's trying but then it just dies down again.

    Can anyone help me out?

Been at this for a couple hours now with no luck still so I finally decided to suck it up & make a new thread. Thinking it's gotta be something stupid simple...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

    BUMP

Any moderators around? Desperately need help. Tried all possible combinations on my RCA's & also tried maxing out the gain to see if it was a volume level issue.

    Still not working...

regarding the signal chain, it's a record OUT on your mixer, so i hope you really connected the rca to the channel c INPUT on your audio 8?

Inputs on your audio8 are on the front of your soundcard... sounds obvious but it has caught people out before...

Ahh OK, thanks. It's working now but it's only recording out of the Right side.

Any idea why that might be happening?

    Hello?

Appreciate the help so far but I'm still having issues. I have no idea why it's only recording on the Right side.

A little help would be amazing...
    Thanks

    Dunno.

If you have the rec out into your channel C input and on your audio8 and channel C selected in your recording prefs you should be good to go. You don't to set input routings...

If this doesn't work I'd try channel D. If still no dice I'd be looking at a dodgy RCA or mixer connection.

Wow, just what I needed to hear. I've used multiple RCA's so it has to be a connection issue within the Numark DXM09.

Anyone know how I can record using Booth Out instead of Record Out?

I know this probably isn't the appropriate place to ask but I was hoping that I could get a quick answer here instead of having to start another forum topic elsewhere.

From what I've heard it sounds like I should be able to plug straight into booth & start recording but it's not being recognized at all in Traktor. Maybe I'm missing something...Or maybe this mixer is just a P.O.S.? IDK I'm confused.

The Dj Gods are not on my side with this one... :(

Thanks for any & all help.

Booth out should record fine, just as rec out does, you'll probably need to adjust the output level with the knob to make sure it isn't clipping...

sometimes the booth out has its own volume knob on the mixer. should be turned up, obviously. ;)

Not sure how I managed to totally overlook the fact that the Left side wasn't even plugged in in the back but it's in the books now.
LOL... My bad guys. That's embarrassing.
