I'm getting some extremely odd behaviour with factory presets saved in .aupreset format in DP 5.12 on a Mac Pro 2.66 GHz Quad running OS X 10.4.9.

The reasons I've saved the factory presets in .aupreset format are:

    1. DP's implementation of AU banks/presets places all 512 default presets into a single-column menu which is not only impractical but virtually impossible to use.

    2. Many of these menu entries don't actually change the preset (see my separate post here headed "Problems changing presets."

My solution was to save the factory presets into eight folder/banks which appear as a sub-menu in the User Presets. But here's the anomalous behaviour:

If I load the empty bank file named "empty (512).p5a" through the "File" button on the GUI, then choose any single one of my saved .aupresets, the entire factory bank is reloaded.

This would seem to make it impossible to build custom banks.

    Kind regards.
