    Hi
I'm fairly new to the NI website and modus operandi. Where is the upgrade link for this new version of the Studio Drums software? I can't find it anywhere!. Have checked Service Centre, and Login/Product/Updates but can't spot it.

    Any clues gratefully rec'd!

You should've received an e-mail from NI, I think.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Evil ;-)

I got an initial email saying another email would be coming.... but it didn't. Is that the only way NI handles upgrades though? seems a bit 90s! Isn't there somewhere on their site to select upgrade/download? They have a user account system after all... This is all much more straightforward at Universal Audio!
    ;-)

You state "Studio Drummer" upgrade. Do you mean ABBEY ROAD DRUMMER upgrades?

You have to be an owner of the original Abbey Road Drum products (60s drums, etc.) to get a free upgrade.

For example, I own Komplete 7 which includes Abbey Road 60s drums. So I received a download link for the new product Abbey Road 60s Drummer.

Obviously already a paid customer of Abbey Road | 60s Drums

Yes - obviously I only posted this as I'd already rec'd an email from NI saying I was eligible for the upgrade! It's just that a purported second email with the link... never came. And they clearly don't as a company reply to Form Emails ... so here I am a week later still wondering how on earth something as simple as downloading an eligible upgrade could be made so weirdly opaque and mysterious!

    Argh... the wait continues!

I really wonder what is going on there.
Now I wrote in several threads about this issue, contacted NI three times with the forms of the registration, sales and technical support and wrote one regular e-mail to the technical support. I have no problem with this if I get the package, but I am still waiting.
Where are the days of proper, austere and dutiful germans?

Next update: I got my email now from the technical support team including links and serials. Can't wait to come home today. Worse thing: I know it's getting late tonight.

    Thanks Natives!
My confidence in german virtues is saved. ;)

    good for you, but...

that's awesome - and yet I haven't heard anything from them in a week... all I can say is Universal Audio reply in minutes and don't mess about helping you out. this is all just disappointment at this stage... argh...
