Studio One 5 - Kontrol S88 - monitor option in background

Hello,
Thanks for hearing me out. I Work with Studio One 5 on Windows Basis. I don't know if this is an issue which has to be solved / answered by the folks of presonus or native Instruments. Here we go:

I want to control my tracks in my DAW with the Mixer which is provided in the Control Interface.

When i click on one track in my Kontrol S88 Device....


...the equivalent track in studioone gets highlighted and i can play the particular instrument, which is loaded in the Kontrol VST.



That is good, works fine.
Now my issue:
Everytime i switch channels in my Kontrol S88 Device, the blue Monitoring-Option is highlighted.

Achieved is that by this option (i searched HOURS!!!)



This workflow doesn't fit me. Komplete can send all sound directly to my main bus - or another bus when played.

Problem is that changing monitoring disturbs my workflow because when i work on diffrent Parts on other tracks, the monitoring changes along with.

is it possible to pass the monitor option by and monitor komplete kontrol vst's on another way around?

 

Ok you found the setting in Studio One to turn off monitoring. I think there's another option in the track options (icon above the list of tracks) to turn off monitoring follows selection. But I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do.

 

I want to hear my Komplete Kontrol plugins without switching monitoring on. I still want to switch between my Komplete Kontrol Plugins on the Kontrol s88 Keyboard tho

 

Just use the keyboard shortcut to turn off monitoring when you don't need it. There's no other option. This is a Studio One question anyway.

 

okay thanks. thats disapointing. I use an MPC ONe - in particular it's the MPC 2 Software -, and this software routes audio-signals directly to the output (when i'm playing with the pads...), without monitoring!!!
That's where i got the idea. See here:

 

Use Maschine VST instead of Komplete Kontrol, it's basically the same thing but Maschine can do that

 

Thanks, this is fantastic. I didn't know NI has also a complete solution plugin - just like MPC 2 Studio.
Unfortunatally i still have to turn the prelistening on when i want to play via the S88 Kontrol. is there an option to bypass the sounds directly to the output.
Intrestingly - when i preview sounds, it does work without monitoring on.

- but - i think i can work with it, as it is. - would be nice to know if there is an Option.
