I'm running a 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo Macbook with Snow Leopard and Maschine runs fine, except when I record note data, there is a stuttering / stalling when I hit the first note.

This happens at all buffer lengths regardless of CPU load, anyone have any idea what the problem is?

If you are talking about sequencing, it is a very common problem to have the first note of a sequence stutter. The reason is almost always that the computer doesn't really have enough time to process controllers and keyswitches PRIOR to the first note starting. Try this: When you are finished with a sequence, slide ALL of your tracks backward a full measure into the piece. That leaves you an empty measure. Drag your Keyswitches & CC controllers back to the first measure. That way the computer can process loudness and patch switches BEFORE the first note is ever needed. In fact, I move EVERYTHING back just 10 or 20 clicks from the First beat of the First measure, because sometimes the computer doesn't pick up a command when it is at 1\1\000.
Hope it helps, if I am addressing the correct problem.
