    Right you are.
But I'm just trying to say, that in this "new generation" can be seen tangible changes.

In case with Traktor Kontrol MKII the changes is really ridiculous:

Pioneer have clearly tried to make people think that the "industry standard" DJM/CDJ is now available in a midi controller.
I don't see anything new here other than it's one piece rather than 2 CDJ's and mixer.

It is impressive and full of features but at close to £2,000 it is probably not going to trouble the S4MK2 market.

The MK2's were a revision. They are not wholly new concepts.

Comparing an S4 to the DDJ-SV is not a valid comparison.

    I totally disagree:
MK2 (From Wiki Mark II or Mark 2 often refers to the second version of a product) what did you expect?
I have them both, I opened them both and I can tell you that the MK2 is much better than the previous model so this video is bullshit.

That 'person' (I wanted to say something else but I'll refrain from being personal) who calls himself 'TraktorSpecialist' is clearly no specialist, certainly not about the S4MK2. His constant repetition of "these are not aluminium grade jog wheels" and that they are the same as the previous S4 jog wheels completely misses the fact that they now sit on silicone-damped braking systems. This is what he accidentally refers to as a better feel but he obviously didn't research why they feel better.

The fader caps on the S4MK1 were too fat. They are much better on the MK2 but, no it's a money saving ploy of course.

This is the kinda guy that refuses to believe NASA put a man on the moon.

It's already been suggested above, but one more person recommending a more scratch friendly successor won't hurt. A replaceable crossfader would benefit a lot of users even if they don't scratch or gate using the fader. It's been implemented on the S8 after all! Additionally, a crossfader curve knob would be excellent rather than the cumbersome process of going to the Preferences menu each time to keep adjusting back and forth. Multi-genres DJs who like to scratch and do smooth blends in their sets would be very grateful for a much quicker way to adjust the curve when in the mix.

    Thanks for your time!

better sound card, I need an main out and a booth out that I can use at the same time I would love lxr for both and a trs connection

2 mic outputs 1 for me and 1 for the talent

a thunderbolt or type c connection to future proof and cut down on latency

jog wheel improvement is always welcome

replaceable fader because hey why not plus it's on the s8

would love 8 trigger pads but really I'm cool with the f1

I am so glad to read some of the comments on multiple blogs about this.
I Love Traktor and I have three S4s This is the controller for me. I don't want an S5 or and S8 (won't go into all the reasons) and have been very close to change to the Pioneer DJM900NX2 with two X1s. Bottom line is that there is a huge demand out there for a kick-ass NI controller that has:

    - Heavy duty metal encasing and state-of-the-art knobs
    - Killer sound card
    - Quality, quality, quality

and PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT!

NI - LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMER AND BUILD IT!! Otherwise you will start people switching to Pioneer and others.

    Hope this plea works! :)
