5. Auto-fill function
If one of the column fields already has the inscription "techno", then as soon as I start writing "tech..", the traktor finishes the phrase. This will avoid mistakes in genres when written „Techno”, „techno”, „tecno”.

6. Quick tagging tool + Multitags
For quick tagging, can use the drop-down menu with checkboxes
parameters such as rating, color we can set with one click, but all other parameters

The DJ is forced to write by hand, I would suggest making all the parameters quickly assignable.

This can be done both using the side menu (as a recordbox - personal tags) and using the drop-down menu in the cell.

12. Improve "Key Highlighting"
I would like that each color is responsible for a certain step in tonality.
As we know each key has 7 steps. I would like the Traktor to tint the Keys based on the step of the track. Which is in the master deck

Imagine that when you play a track, the color of the step tonality varies depending on the track in the master deck.
Everyone knows the popular + 2 step in tonality, the so-called "energy boost", in my system, this move will always be red "Fm-> Gm". Also, each tonality has 7 steps, which is indicated in a separate color. The steps and colors are rigidly fixed among themselves.
1- purple, 2 red and so on.
This system will allow more fine-tuning mood between tracks. Even DJs who do not have a musical education can do it easily. Because from the point of view of harmony, there is a big difference when you move from 1 to 3 steps or from 1 to 6. Harmony will be different, therefore the tracks after each other will be felt also differently.

- Divide the mix visually into several parts using thin lines
- The track that is playing in the master deck is highlighted and clearly visible in the playlist
- time should be counted in the mixed state. How to do it? Tie this function to the "fade in" "fade out" cues and count the time from these cues.

18. Five bugs in browser
Bug 1
When we switch between folders and playlists on the leftside, the browser jumps (makes sharp jumps)
Folders and the playlists should always remain under the cursor, the browser should not move in different directions. If we open the folder and the playlist, we expect the attached files to be below cursor of mouse, but the browser periodically makes sharp jumps

Actually I don't find any way to undo, like when removing a track from a playlist, or loading a track in the wrong deck. Both of these mistakes mean time to gp back to the previous situation / and a simple Undo would be very, very helpful. The Undo feature may be restricticted to some cases. EG -after having confirmed to delete the file from the hard drive, we may get a dialog sayign that undo is not possible.

I noticed that interacting with folders and playlists is not very convenient for several reasons:
1. Open a folder - we need to click twice on it, in the rekordbox it works by one click on the triangle.
2. On the + icon, I think it would be good to make a menu call of three items: create a playlist, create a smart playlist, create a folder
3. Now it is possible to create a playlist or folder only if we click on the folder itself, but if we right-click the menu somewhere in the middle of the playlist, there will be no way to create a folder or playlist, and I have often noticed that it is a little annoying that we need to lift up the list every time

14. Browser jumps

Every time, when I activate the pre-listening player in the playlist, the folder tree jumps to this folder,this is inconvenient. If I selecting samples in different folders, it would be more convenient if the tree remained in place so that I could pull samples to different folders. Now, after each time I turn on the player, I need to drag the list of folders and playlists up or down again.

15. Match tracks
For example, I made a mix of 20 tracks and I like all the matches between each track, it would be good to quickly save all the links between them at once. For example, select the entire mix and click "match". And each track will connect with the next one standing next to it. Also can make a separate column where the number of tracks that are associated with it will be shown. That is, if I linked Track 8 to 5 tracks in different mixes, then the number 5 will be shown in a separate column and when we click on the magnifier icon, these 5 tracks will be shown in playlist

Hello friends, I would like to add another suggestion for the browser.

There is a suggestion to make a new type of playlist, which I would call "Mix Planning".

I consider it a gap for DJ programs, not to have a tool that would allow DJs to prepare a mix, know the time of different parts and divide the mix into different parts.

I would be happy to see an opportunity to:
- divide the mix into multiple parts
- see the duration of different parts
- give a name to each part
- make notes in each part
to see the line of time, counting time of each individual part and the whole mix entirely mixed in the form

To time was showing correctly, that is p mix DJs seen in mixed state, I suggest this feature to be done in already existing points FADE IN FADE OUT if the DJ will be noted in each track begin and end of the mixing, playlists will be counting on these two points

 

You can do this with iTunes Playlists and SmartPlaylists.

But this actually ties in nicely with a request that Karlos has mentioned in the past - Separators in a playlist.

If Separators ever get implemented, it would be cool if they could be named, and have a toggle switch to have details showing or hidden like No. of tracks, duration, description, etc...

 

Hi, in iTunes there are no features that I suggested above, such functionality is not in principle in any dj programs, I think many DJs will appreciate the convenience of such a playlist, where they can prepare a mix with convenient tools.

You can do this in iTunes.

Make a playlist for each of the “multiple parts” that you mention. The bottom of the screen will tell you how many songs, and how long that “part” is. Name that playlist/part whatever you want to call it.

Then, create a SmartPlaylist, with condition “Playlist IS...” for each of the multiple parts you want to make up that full playlist. Name that whatever you want. The bottom of THAT screen will tell you how many tracks, and how long, all the multiple parts added together make.

Any notes can be added to the “Comments” tag in the tunes in the playlist. They’ll show up in iTunes, and in Traktor.

You can then either navigate to these lists in the iTunes node, or, if you want to avoid iTunes, you can click-drag the playlists from the iTunes node, to a new playlist in Traktor.

I like what you’ve suggested. You’ve made me think of an interesting way to work it into my own iTunes/Traktor work flow. Thanks for that.

15. Management of the keyboard
Actions using the keyboard do not work in the browser by default.I know that some of them can be bound via the MIDI Manager in the settings, but I think these functions should be enabled by default.
- shift + arrows doesn't work in the browser for highlight
- remove track by using the "delete"
- enabling the pre-listening player

16. Icon for editing

1. export the library by folders based on the tag levels that the DJ will specify when exporting.

For both the first and second ways, I think the best services are Spotify, Tidal and Apple music.
I don't really like beatport and soundcloud, because Beatport only has 20% of the music from Spotify, which is inadequate to pay 45-65 dollars a month for such a small library. For $ 65, I can buy 60 tracks in ITunes or 20 in high-quality AIFF, and they will stay with me forever.

I have an idea how we can interest Spotify or Apple music for integration into a traktor without violating copyright. This will only work for the method of selecting tracks in the mix, but it will not work for playing online with the controller. We can offer collaboration so that DJs have extended access to online tracks in DJ programs, but with limited playback. We can create a mode in the traktor where the Spotify library and two decks will be available, and this mode will not have an equalizer and will not work with controllers. This can serve as an incentive to provide a guarantee to Spotify, why they may not be afraid of using these tracks for commercial purposes, that is, it is a simple two decks extended track information. In this way, DJs will be able to select tracks, make a mix, see keys, bpm, and use tags, But they will not be able to play it live from Spotify, so as not to violate copyrights.
For me personally, this use of streaming services to select music for mix before buy is more important than being able to play online.
