I found some bugs in the "Key Highlighting" function, and I also find it unsuitable to colorize tonal colors in a fixed color library, it has no practical use, it only has a visual function, I would like to propose a system for marking suitable tonalities based on color, but which has sense

I would like that each color is responsible for a certain step in tonality.
As we know each key has 7 steps. I would like the Traktor to tint the Keys based on the step of the track. Which is in the master deck
For example:
1. Orange - 1 step
2. Blue - 2 step
3. Red - 3 step
4. Purple - 4 step
5. Yellow - 5 step
6. Green - 6 step
7. Magenta - 7 step

Thanks to such a color system, the DJ will be able to better understand which key he should switch to, he will be understand 7 steps from Master track, he will need to remember only 7 colors.

In other words, the key color in tracks in browser will change depending on the track on the master.

The modern circle of camelot, which is most often used by DJs, is suitable only for beginner DJs, but if we want to make mixes more advanced in terms of harmony, we need to use musical harmony and, unfortunately, the Traktor does not allow us to conveniently work with keys, so I usually use a quarto-fifth circle with classical symbols or an application in my phone, like TONALY in Apple store.

If you improve "Key Highlighting", DJs with knowledge of harmony will find it easier to prepare mixes and select harmoniously correct tracks based on steps in tonality

 

Add an addition to the 15. Key highlighting, I would like to offer a tonality column illumination depending on the selected track in the browser.
For example, a track in the tonality of Dminor is highlighted here
D minor has 7 steps:
Dm (1), Em * (2), F (3), Gm (4), Am (5), Bb (6), C (7)
And each step of tonality is highlighted in a certain color, this improvement will make it possible not to use the quart-quint circle and quickly find harmony connections between the tracks

I mean that changing too much of the pitch makes the track sound bad. Maybe 1 or 2 steps is enough, but more than that is not ok.

The only thing I've ever wanted Traktor to have is a waveform image of the tracks in the browser ! Being able to see what the track looks like before loading it into the deck is such a bonus. Rekordbox Serato Engine all have this feature ! Please, Its the only thing I've ever felt was missing !

Free plan can save only collection file, and for 4-5$ per mounth dj can buy more space from NI cloud. This method will make it good way to import and export the library in the eco-system NI. And as I wrote a few time ago in other thread, the traktor collection file should be merged into one file, because now, the collection file, the settings and the folder on the C drive, (samples, remix sets) are three different saving processes. DJ does not need the browser window and the decks at the same time while playing, so such a replacement mode would be a good solution

Sometimes, when I'm sad, I go to this thread and read these suggestions, after it becomes easier for me, I close the page and return to my usual things. When I re-read this, my brain thinks that this is all happening in reality and I feel happy after that.

im quite the opporsite, i come here happy and leave depressed. Stuck using ni hardware with absolutley no inovation no thanks.

 

I have already put up my S8 for sale and will return to the rekordbox as before. I like NI the controllers more then Pioneer, but the traktor is a very weak program. If they release within a month the update that they promised us and there will be a lot of what we are waiting for, I will close the sale, if not, then I will have to say goodbye to these guys.

I also consider it a betrayal that they sold their company, which is very bad for them. I don't like these dirty games in the music industry, but seem NI to have fallen into this trap.
