sad times mate, but writing was on the wall 3 years ago if not more. When the software is holding you back its time to let go. Only the S8 is in a leauge of its own as theres nothing like it but what demand for that kind of controller is there in 2021 when stems are now iin real time. When you talk like for like controllers pioneer has the market cornered.

you cant have software in 2021 where you cant arrange your playlists at will its simply not acceptable, such a small thing but so fundamental to work flow. i refuse to believe a decent programmer couldnt have sorted that out over night.

i can feel your frustration with N.I and its so justified, Theres no money in traktor these days as theres no demand from consumers and why would there be?

whos up for another road map, ideas/ suggestion section? give me a break ffs.

Unfortunatelly I feel most of you are right. With the speed of the updates of Traktor, I think soon it will be time for all of us to change the software.

1st There is no roadmap from NI what features and when to expect them
2nd there is no promises for regular updates, actually updates are like 29th february
3rd there are requested features since years, and NI doesn't seem to care or at least to keep some communication with the forum. the lack of communication is ridiculous

I think andyfoz is right, it's been over for years, it's just us who refused to believe it for so long.
Btw NI also knows that. They know it's over thats why they don't invest.

    1. Adding links from other DJs to the playlist lock feature that was previously removed.
    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/news-features-block-playlist-others.448877/

    https://www.native-instruments.com/...ink-of-bringing-back-the-playlist-lock.92551/

    2. New "Mixes section" at the top level of the tree.
    Add a new Mixes/Places section
Where the DJ can put the mixes.
If the DJ clicks record mix, the Traktor automatically creates a playlist in this section and puts all the played tracks as in the history. It would be nice if it showed the duration of the entire mix and the duration of each track, how long it was played, rather than the original track time.
This is similar to splitting audio tracks in a mix, only the Traktor can save this information on top of the original track, and if you start a track from this mixed playlist, the track will start from where the volume fader was raised to the end.

The second way, if the record button was not pressed, the DJ will have to go to the history, select tracks and export them to the Mix/Place
    section.
"I understand that this can be done using a regular playlist"

I think it will be good if this section is moved to the top level of the sections.
In this section, dj can also add the ability to describe the mix, comments on top of the playlist, the ability to add a photo, day and year, country/city, club
You can also add several search parameters in the Mixes section
    - Location (club, city, country)
    - Series of mixes
    - Times: Year, month, day, hours
And make a search tool for these parameters in this section at the top.

    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/save-playlist-tracklist-when-recording.76800/

    3. Regular playlist
Add a function to the regular playlist, where it would become a mirror of the files of the folder in the system.
If a DJ adds a track to this playlist, it will also move to the folder at the operating system level.
This will help you easily keep the files in order on your computer. And use the Traktor's playlists even when it's closed.
    https://www.native-instruments.com/...uto-update-with-files-original-folders.77126/

    4. Performance playlist
Paragraph about performance playlist describes a new type of playlist: Performance playlist.
To this special playlist, you can add a function such as deleting a track after it has been played or darkening the track.
    Original request
    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/remove-played-from-playlist-command.208575/

The second function for the performance playlist
    These are comments
Add the ability to write comments to the mix, for example, J has prepared a mix and wants to check it out, during the game he can add comments to any place on the side, then go back and fix a technical error or make another effect. This will be a good way to both perform and practice at home.

If you want a direct answer: then this thread contains 28 points for the browser, many of them have sub-items, which means that in general, there are about 45 different suggestions on how to improve the traktor browser. How this is related to ignorance remains a mystery.

This thread unfortunately has turned from positive and productive to sad/frustrated on the last page. Understandable in some instances from a technical/product point of view, but not helpful for anyone, especially when drifting off into very odd territory [as the last few posts] - rather the contrary (imo).

So, Almaz - don't let andyfoz get to you - he's proven time after time again to simply troll around here, talk out of his ar*e and promised to never return to Traktor or these forums nearly as often as he tried to just piss people off on purpose...

And for the product (= DJ Software) - use the one that works for you and don't build on promised/imagined software features....!
Each have their issues (for me the Traktor Browser & Metadata i/o are still the main pain points. But, these aren't solved in RB/Serato/etc neither, at least not the ones I do care about), but in Traktor's defence - they again have an internal shift / ownership change to digest - but as Friedemann @ NI said a wee while ago as well, and that still holds true - actions speak louder than words (and unfortunately NI as a company has decided not to discuss features/roadmaps ) - so all we can do is wait and see as to what changes/improvements they tackle internally, and choose to release.

Fingers crossed we do see more development on the browser/media management & future features to keep Traktor alive & a valid option (for the ones that still believe in Traktor).

Improve the triangle feature that was added a few updates ago. When you click on the triangle in the playlist tree, the browser should not go to another folder, but stay in the current folder

Nice one. Perfect example again for you trolling, or are you really that thick?
Can't tell & don't really care tbh, so probably not engage in convo again.
But As for the 'lies', here was the thread with links to statements from Dells Chief officer on the technical issue you do not seem to understand, and which still seems to grind your gears even 1.5 years later :

We all think Traktor has potential to be great, otherwise we would not give all these suggestions, and so on.
The issue we all have, is that it looks like NI is just ignorant about the users, updates take so long, and also we don't see any roadmap, any news, anything at all.. and while seeing our friends djs with recordbox for example, getting regular updates, it kinda makes us nervous. and that's the reason we speak tough sometimes.
It's just the ignorance and the lack of communication from NI that will makes us leave, not that the software is that bad. Like you said, other software have issues as well.

andyfoz what the hell is wrong with you? Were you not hugged as a child?
Why are you p*ssing people off so much, are you getting off on it?
Why are you bringing this Dell business into this thread? Quit it, I'm not asking.

I've told you too many times that I won't have you persistently posting that "Traktor is over" and all that other crap

    Consider yourself banned.
2 weeks in the cooler. Will you learn this time? I doubt it so the ban gets doubled each time from now on.

    alec.tron I don't want you biting back.

Almaz I can still read the post that Matt has hidden. You contribute some great stuff and this thread is great, don't ruin it by becoming the next andyfoz.

Matt has already closed this thread once and he has better things to do with his time than mop up the mess made by you guys.
Keep it civil and keep in on topic.

    Karlos.

We talked to Matt about this thread, and I told him that I agree to clear this thread of any comments he thought were not polite. I myself believe that the reason for these intense conversations is that people are not getting what they want from you. We may can not to cross that line of politeness towards you, but everyone gets what they deserve.
You are now trying to show that some users do not treat you well, you even block some of them, but this does not reflect your true state.
I will continue to supplement this thread with various proposals, because I just want to do this in my free time. I get joy out of it.

There is one secret that you are missing when developing traktor. This secret lies in the amount of joy that each traktor upgrade can bring. If the developers, while introducing new features, thought: "Will this new feature bring joy to our DJs?" you would have had a completely different approach to development. But it is clear from the behavior of your team that you do not think in terms of the joy of people who will then use it, you think in other categories that ultimately do not please us. To some extent, you must give up your own selfishness, and start serving your DJs, then you will be loved and respected.

Almaz Be advised that I do not work for Native Instruments so when you say "you", you're aiming the message at the wrong guy.

I'm not designing or developing products, I'm moderating. Members are banned when they breach forum rules.
An opinion on the product doesn't get a member banned, the way it is expressed is what gets a member banned.

Forum members can have all the "intense conversations" they like but they will be civil and they will not post untruths about Traktor or Native Instruments.

    Karlos.
