Summer of Sound 2021?

My local dealer just contacted me and told me than the sale is live right now. I already bought them my K12 to 13 UCE

 

Props to batwaffel @ audioproductiondeals stating the sale was live!. It was still reflecting 499 euro here until i put it into the shopping cart and saw the promotion sale price

I've just been on chat, was asking about an upgrade price from 11 Ultimate to 13 Standard and told they don't do 'downgrades'. So in the daft situation where an upgrade from 11 Select to 13 Standard is £179.50 as is an upgrade from 11 Ultimate, but an upgrade from 11 Standard to 13 Standard is £89.50, half the price. I guess I'm only seeing that price as I had 10 Select with an 11 Ultimate upgrade.

I only really use Kontakt out of my bundle these days, entirely with third party libraries and only really wanted to get Guitar Rig 6 Pro, Noire, Massive X and Super 8 so £179.50 is an expensive upgrade in a sale.

Why not let people downgrade if they wish to and simply quote them the best price available for an upgrade to the 'lower' product?
If the Native Access system can't handle it then make it clear they'll lose access to whatever was that was included in the older product that isn't in the one they're moving to. At least give us the choice.

 

The offer is online so the prices should be right, just make sure you're selecting the right license though.
If you're not, the pricing page triggers an error message:

 

It's always been like that and offering all sorts of downgrades would make the licensing set-up even more complicated than it already is.
As it stands, you can only update to a similar version (say Komplete 11 to Komplete 13) or upgrade (Komplete 11 to Komplete 13 Ultimate) and unfortunately, I don't think this will change soon.

Just a suggestion : Can N.I. please make Maschine Expansions with this Themes : Taiko Drums, Orchestral Percussions, Cinematic Percussions ???
it´s nice to have all the Dance and Techno kits, but Maschine lacks Traditional drums for the TrailerMusic fan :-(

This are Expansions i will buy as soon as i can see them !

The statement concerning update/upgrade might be a bit missleading but technically correct:



It says "As User of Komplete 12 Upgrade KSelect you are eligible for the Upgrade" whereas UPGRADE is a link that brings you to the (correct) 499,50 EUR discounted upgrade from K12 to K13U CE.

After that there is the clarification that the Update is only applicable for K12U CE. I at least did not see any other 150EUR option on K13U CE.
(But maybe there was a change in the meantime)

The last statement is quite clear though: I do not have a qualifying product in my account for the shown update.


Maybe it is the same message that you got and were mislead by the first statement?

Nope, I was on the spanish page (logged with my account) and when I saw my offers It said my offer was 250, like if i was about to update. Now I visited it again and it shows me the correct price, wich is 499,50 for me.

Anyway I already bought it this morning on a local dealer, I like to have my box

 

There is one more option....
Rockky may upgrade from Komplete Select to Komplete 13. And sell upgrade from Select to K11 Ultimate.

 

What about the pricing?
99.50 Dollar isn't the same as 99.50 Euro or am I missing something?

 

USD is without taxes, EUR is including taxes. So, more or less it is similar.

i'm confused ...
already have Komplete 12 Ultimate Collector's Edition ... but i got there by crossgrades and updates going way back, and not as a discrete standalone first purchase.
It seems i don't have a Base Product that is appropriate for the best-price upgrade from U12CE - am i right ?
The only option showing up for me is the full purchase price ... sheesh
(the webpage product price banner however does spruik "My Update $374" though - on the main Summer Sale page: so that's definitely at odds with the later base product warning purchase advisory saying i dont qualify)
** just discovered i can update to K13U for $299 using an earlier KOMPLETE 8 ULTIMATE MK2 Crossgrade as my base product ... not as good as being eligible for the CE though

 

You should be able to Update from K12U CE, no need to Upgrade from K8U (MK2 Crossgrade).

By upgrading from K8U to K12U CE, you have K12U CE licence, and so you have base product for update from 12U CE to 13U CE.

 

that's exactly what i would have thought too ... will still wait for an official rep to reply though (no offense)
UPDATE : after a few reloads for various reasons, it is now showing i am eligible for a full 13UCE "update" purchase - all for aud $375 (woot!)
no idea why it wasn't showing that before but very happy now
