From scouring the forum, future deals don't seem that easy to predict. Is it probable that there will be a price drop on Maschine MK2 soon? The current promotion of 7 free expansion packs isn't as enticing to me, as paying less than $599 would be.

The Maschine Studio dropped from $1k to $799 recently, but I actually like the look (and footprint) of the Maschine MK2 more.

If I were NI I'd do a dual controller deal with Jam. But what do I know.

We'll see next week. I'd buy Komplete Ultimate (upgrade) if it goes on sale for $100-$200 off, but I can wait a year or even two if nothing comes along. I'd have purchased Maschine Jam by now, if it came in WHITE.

I wish I didn't buy Komplete 11 Select in February. I'll get it free with Maschine, but I've had the MPK49 for years so I didnt need a controller. I replaced the pads on that but still want Maschine pads. Also going to upgrade Komplete, but not to Ultimate, when that goes on sale.

For me upgrading from KU9 to KU11 is just about getting Reaktor 6 and maybe that strings thingy (but it's just a cutdown).

The major negative is being forced to use Native Access, but then it seems like we now have to use NA to upgrade Kontakt (and NI didn't/notify us about this change at all...thanks NI).

Unless it's a really good deal sticking with KU9.

i was worried about this myself, as i hadn't updated any NI stuff in a while. i've never used Native Access, and haven't heard much good about it. i just recently updated Kontakt, Maschine, and a few others via Service Center. worked fine, just as always.

Can you please check that you are now running Kontakt 5.6.8? I suspect it will be an earlier version.

    Cheers.

I'm going to be disappointed if there isn't a June sale on either hardware or software. I'm looking to purchase either the white MK2 or black Studio and upgrading Komplete. Moment of truth is tomorrow.

the only thing about that is it means k12/ku12 is coming out shortly after. its a good idea, so the NEXT time the sale hits you can get the discount on the new one... but its a ploy to make you want the new package. thats what happened with me and k10/ku10.
very cut down. but its alright. i love them. i have used them all month. do you use strings that often.
i wish NI would do more for people who have already spent a lot of money on products.... some sort of customer appreciation sale. the more you have the more you get off.

    ahh, you're right.

it updated me to 5.6.6 maybe a week ago (?), and running Service Center again now it seems to think that i'm "up to date" with that (no sign of 5.6.8 in SC).

If that were a thing, I'm pretty sure NI would be sending me freebies by now. :(

Nice. Does a sale page exist? I'd like to know how long this sale is valid

I just happened to notice it on the Komplete products page. I poked around a little, couldn't seem to find an expiration. It doesn't actually specify "sale" though; the original prices are crossed out, with new ones added.

Sweetwater.com shows "price drop", with no mention of it being temporary.

...the crossgrades for the Symphony Series are also 50% off. Guess, we'll see a summer sale announcement soon.

EDIT - crossgrade & upgrade options for all products are 50% off

I got the K11U-upgrade for half off... not sure if it is the "Summer Of Sound" or "June Jump into Savings", but I got it. $199 is a bargain for the bits and pieces they offer above earlier versions. Now--if they only sold the Jam in white.
