Supercharger is a great and simple compressor but I wouldnt mind having a slightly more in depth version... what do you guys think?

    Supercharger / Supercharger GT

When side-chain is active - it should create a 'send' signal in cubase - it doesn't.
There should also be a side-chain icon in the VST plug-in - that is missing also.

Therefore - unless anyone from NI can enlighten us - I'd say the side-chain function is simply not implemented.

    Here's 'that' knowledge...

Attached is a cubase 7.5 project with Supercharger set up as a side-chain.
Uses HALion Sonic SE and GA SE-3 with SUPERCHARGER FREE

    Info on the NI site:
    http://www.native-instruments.com/e...3/how-to-create-a-sidechain-effect-in-cubase/

Would be nice if the NI Studio FX would work the same way as the Steinberg Compressor VST Side-Chain FX

Presently, there's a lot of hard work to set these NI Studio FX to work as a side-chain in Cubase.

Its because NI haven't add support for VST3 yet? 2014? VST3 has been out as standard in over 8 years now!!! So side chain doesn't work for the majority DAW users.

WAVES, Softtube, SPL, Elysia, Brainworx, Voxengo, Izotope, Cakewalk, Steinberg, Melodyne, u-he.. etc..the list goes just on...already support VST3.

Majority of all the plugins of "NI Studio FXs" that you referring to are made by the Swedish company SOFTTUBE. They support all format included VST3. Softtube could provide a VST3 version "yesterday" of all their plugins they have made for NI.

NI seem not be interesting to provide VST3 support for over +1.000.000 users world wide?

    Go and figure!

I just wanted to say that SCGT is terrific! Though I appreciate the "free" version, there is ABSOLUTELY NO COMPARISON to the GT version :)

Not only in my tests have the GT version been far better for sqashing and rendering, but the additional controls have given an almost "otherworldly" status. It was an easy 49 bone decision for me :)
