    Hi,

while going over the Product Overview page, one paragraph caught my eye:
So 4 GB of Sounds are included. Interesting. What do you all think of that? Will they be any good? Is 4 GB a lot? Suspecting that this collection only comes with the F1 controller and is not obtainable through the free upgrade that existing users get to version 2.5, will those 4 GB make any difference on how you see the price for the bundle (especially those of you who already own TP2)?

Maybe SCAMO will ask for a cheaper version without loops because obviously you must be paying a licence fee for the loops, and he's probably already got loops, and how could loops be free because you can buy loops on the internet and blah blah blah.

    :D

@Ritchie_Jay: while the sarcasm is a bit out of line, this might still be a valid argument, only the other way around. I already have TP2 and will get the update to TP2.5 for free so that license doesn't add any value for me when buying an F1 controller. However, the 4 GB of sounds might help me accept the higher price compared to an X1 controller.

But I can't say if that addition is any good, hence my question: is 4 GB a lot? Can we expect to get anything usable or is it like the handful of loops I got from my TP2 install which are nice to play around with but not even close to something I'd use in a set?

4 GB is a lot. Maschine has a 6 GB library and it's pretty huge. I think people have ignored that when complaining about the price. I honestly can't believe people are complaining about the price. The X1 was only a little cheaper at it's launch. And the time it would have took to map this whole unit would be huge.

I'm willing to pay the price for plug and play out of the box. I don't want to buy some other midi controller that I have to attempt to map all those functions too, not to mention I don't think there's any other controller out there right now that has the RGB buttons, which to me is huge. It means way less looking at the screen to see what you have loaded in there.

It's quite a big library, however if it's any good, all you'll find is that you're now playing the exact same loops as everyone else by default.
